  • Sweet Q!

  • That's why these tax machine fire districts buy new every 5 years. They run the shit outta the equipment then complain they are junk from the abuse. This is nothing so important you have to drive like that and floor the siren on the pad. In training...they always frown on running. So why not frown on driving like this?

  • 0:10 - Bumper almost touched the ground! Nice!

  • @lexingtonFD was that the engine that you did a in cab vid of?

  • Daaaang! the folks in the rear facing seats must've been thrown "forward"

  • lol And it wouldnt be complete without the combo of Q2b and PowerCall :-) damn that combo puts a grin on my face every time

  • Way to give er Sh*t out of the station!

  • Damn, that truck FLEW out of that station!!

  • nice response & Really nice Station!

  • Beautiful truck, awesome response!

  • Where's this at?

  • Lexington, Virginia. A "city" station.

  • nice Q and powercall!

  • man, the powercall sucks. I can tolerate its unique sound but, they're junk. Q all the way baby!

  • Great looking Station & Rig !!

  • Thats how I roll! You can put a MARINE ECM and get more horsepower out of it!

  • The Series 60 has excellent response. I feel sorry for the departments that order the wimpy ISM's, or the crappy sounding C13s or Cummins.

  • you still you get a trail of exhaust smoke when you hit the gas with the detriot series 60 engine

  • I know, especially with the 03-06 EGR engines, look for the black smoke! If its a cat look for blue/gray smoke, and if its a cummins blue/gray smoke too, not as ferocious as the CAT's though.

  • hey as long as it gets to the call whatever engine it has should not matter. The old detroit diesel engines were very smokey and the sound of them would get my blood going

  • More power the better.

  • I guess you are right

  • Yep. To me nothing and I mean NOTHING beats the scream of the Detroit 6V-53. Rated at 215 HP (195 HP post 1972) and with 770 ft. lbs. peak torque at 1800 RPM this was a mighty mite of an engine; perfect for the typical-sized pump or single-rear axled ladder. Fire apparatus with 6V-53's were EVERYWHERE during the 1970's and '80's. The 6V-53's only downfall was if you wanted a pump capacity of 1250 GPM or more, it was too small; it would scream enough at 1000 GPM. That's when the 6-71 comes in.

  • thanks for sharing that information. You sound like an expert on all the older detroit diesel engines

  • Tell you what if you want a S-M-O-K-E-Y engine, anyone remember the Mack Maxidyne 672 6-cylinder? Talk about S*M*O*K*E!!!!!

  • nice station and new truck He kind of flew out of there real fast

  • nice station

    voulenteer or paid?

  • Paid on call.

Getting ready to hire a career Chief.

    Thank you for your comments.

    Keep safe.

  • Beautiful station and very nice engine. That truck will roll i thought you were about to roll out on 2 wheels for a second. stay safe

  • holy shit damn you pulled out fast from your station my stations number is 9. but im from PA.

  • wow thats was fast!

  • damn you guys were moving but hey you gotta do what you gotta do, where is lexington?

  • Is in wonderfull Kentucky

  • no lexington va

  • Some people just don't know how we do it in Lex-Vegas!!!!

  • That's a Detroit 60 series motor putting out 500 HP

  • If a house burns down, it was gods will to have it that way. If we save it, again its gods will to save it. That engines got some serious horsepower though! Its either that or its got no equipment haha just kidding. Awesome video, love the POWERCALL!!Stay safe brothers!

  • that is a nice firehouse

  • virginia and its not that fast

  • What state?

  • This truck is going a little Fast

  • no it isnt

  • Would you rather a fire truck go slow or fast if your house was on fire?

  • If it's a matter of getting there alive and safely i would rather go slow.

  • and have somebody house burn down?
