Muse is a great band,but personally I prefer Metallica by far...All the Metallica members now are almost 50 years old but on stage they seem to be 20 years old and they have been playing for 30 years...I would like to see if Matt and company at 50 will be the same,maybe yes,but for me Metallica are too epic and awesome for what they did, indeed they inspired a lot of actual rock and metal bands

Both of these bands are amongst my favorites of all time. Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, Origin of Symmetry, and Absolution are all INCREDIBLE albums.
That said, these comments are fucking hilarious. When it comes to Metallica and metal in general, I love the actual music. But a huge chunk of the fanbase is just sooooooooooooo dumb. I saw Metallica in Brisbane last month and Muse 3 days ago in Brisbane. Metallica were better live I think. I love the music both bands produce but Muse were all lights and graphics - they guys seemed bored and flat. Metallica just have a energy that comes through the musicians that makes the show fantastic.

They're more creative,melodious,musical and their songs are epic for me.

@danielmetal12 I have seen Metallica live 6 times since 1988. Just caught Muse live in Los Angeles and all I can say is the knocked the ball out of the stadium. Muse has a energy level that is unbelievable and nearly every song is a hit. If you are a true music lover....your admiration will cross genres and you will see the talent in MUSE. Go see them live...you will see what I mean!!!!!!!!!!!

To all those who thought this was Muse, its not! James says it 10 after 5, hence 5:10, but on the schedule it clearly says Muse is supposed to start at 5:25 therefore its gotta be some other band before Muse!

Personnaly I think MUSE is the best band in the world, but it's my opinion.
Like who gives a shit that Metillica is in the Hall Of Fame? Muse is the best for some, and vice versa. So don't go shit on people about it. We don't have all the same opinions so get over it.

@WhatTheValle: Muse has fifteen years, which is quite a lot as well. Just because not every other person in the world knows about them doesn't mean they're not good. Ever hear TV on the Radio? Next to nobody knows them, and they're a fantastic band. Same with others like Mew, Chris Clark, Shed Seven, etc. Popularity =/= talent. Just look at Lil' Wayne. No talent, and everyone loves him.
Regardless, "Enter Sandman" is still one of the greatest metal songs ever made.

Ok here's my opinion Muse are Mainstream hacks the singers voice sounds like a ferret choking on a horses cock, Metallica are 10x bigger than Muse not that it matters but all Muse fans seem to care about on these comments is how much Muse have sold albums/records Muse is about 15 million same as Ramstein and yes Ramstein are much better than Muse also in my opinion. Muse fall into the Kings of Leon category where rock goes to die, Metallica pretty much gave Rock a new direction so .Metallica.

Why are we comparing artists to one another...Its like saying Picasso was better than Van Gogh or vice versa. Both Hetfield and Bellamy are artists with their music. If you cannot respect both bands, or any band for what they do or create, then you sir/ma'am are not seeing the bigger picture here; that music is about having fun with what you're doing. I saw Metallica in Brisbane last month and Muse 3 days ago in Brisbane. Metallica were better live I think. I love the music both bands produce but Muse were all lights and graphics - they guys seemed bored and flat. Metallica just have a energy that comes through the musicians that makes the show fantastic.

@rapeyadog there's no such thing as one is clearly better than another. maybe u're not old enough to know, but metallica used to be, and maybe still is, the greatest band ever. they're the biggest thing in the 80's and 90's. maybe they have different styles, but i'm pretty sure james hetfield can play the guitar better and shred faster than matt bellamy.

@ahmadaz96001 i said more talented, not better :) i just think matt is a unique and inspiring guitar player, singer, piano player and has a great gift for songwriting. dont get me wrong, i love metallica! they are one of the best bands in the world! and james hetfield probably does have more technical skill on guitar, but i find matt inspiring. and if your comparing individuals not bands i'd say matt wins by a quite a way. but in the end its just opinion! :P
