@SiMgUrL1726 make ur own opinion about a game, dont just listen to IGN or Gamespot. I luv both these games and dont care wat they have 2 say. Besides, there like $5 used now so it wouldnt hurt to try them out.
If you guys really want to know if both of these games are poor or not, go to
metacritic website. The professional critics average out final scores. Green = generally positive game. Yellow = mixed with positive and negative. Red = mostly negative.
@whyspyder Yea cause IGN gave both of them a 4 point something. TXRD2 is kind of hard for me because I'm not good at drifting in that game. I'm good at drifting in Need For Speed Underground. In TXRD2 do I have to complete all of the drifting games (drift around the cones)?
then you probably shouldnt get a name like simgurl, or just not bother drifting. u can complete the game without learning how to drift properly neways.
@thesecsy1 Well SiMgUrL1721 is my user name because I like playing the Sims. LOL Even when I wasn't drifting, I still banged on the walls a lot because the cars drove too slow for me. Therefore, I got rid of Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 1 and 2. Drifting games are not my thing, but I'm good at playing racing games in general.
@whyspyder I'm having so much trouble playing Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 1 because it takes forever to pick up speed, and I always lose when I'm racing any rival. :( I rather play TXR0 and 3 than this.
@whyspyder TXRD 1 lets you drift easier, although it isn't really drifting (just brake, accelerate, and balance steering). And although TXRD 2 is more realistic, it's more of a "grip" game if you can't find your own ways of drifting.
lol the only thing i like about TXRD1 is that wen you look back you see the front of your car too..well at least ii think you do, am i rite? xDD in TXRD2 all you see is the person behind you..well at least ii think
@whyspyder It is good they did it that way. Because if you have to look back real quick right before a turn you can see where he or she is , as opposed to tring to look around your car for him and eather getting passed or hitting the wall.
I just got TXRD2. at first I didnt like it but more I get into it I think is worth the $6 I spent. how was you car set up? like camber and shit. your car handles way better than mine.
Check out some of my tuning videos for particular cars. Their setups can get you started, or check out the Tuning Guide on the forum for more detailed hlep.
I've even posted some online articles for tuning suspension for grip racing (Time Attack) too.
ign and gamespot are biased know nothing about how cars are supposed to tune and handle. get some of them to try to drift properly in gt5 and they'll have a lot of trouble as well. IGN claim it's impossible to drift, when countless vids prove otherwise. Atleast this game doesn't have bullshit physics for a sim like gt4 & forza games and actually has good steering wheel support & is also way more fun.
I bought both of theses games the day of their release. Living in a small town I was one of Maybe 250 Fans. I am not kidding. 250,000 people in this town and very few knew anything about this game. Met most of them at the arcade when playing Wangan Midnight and my favorite Initial D. It's only natural I was the best racer. I played Gran Turismo on the first day of its release by accident. Found it at a video rental store when I was 7. I am no longer active gamer but I look for a challenge.
I am so-so at driving on TXRD, but with more practice I could be better. Once I played TXRD2, however, I really didn't like how the cars felt on the first one.
It wasn't how the car turned on the game that turned me - it was how the car's center of gravity (pivot) was on the game.
When driving in the chase view it bothered me how the car would pivot - it just looked and felt unrealistic. I know the game isn't a sim, but at least in TXRD2 the cars pivoted much more realistic.
Go ahead and showoff what you can do - just please post it as a video response to this video so I don't forget to view it. lol.
They have very different physics. I prefer the touge so TXRD2 is more fun for me - but if you like high-speed racing than stick to the highway with TXR3. Doesn't hurt to try out TXRD2 to see if you like it.
Personally I like the graphics. And its simply an addictive game. Its cheap enough to just go buy TXRD2 and try it out. I'll have to give it a shot. Are there a good variety of courses and cars?
can ya use the analog stik to accelerate/decelerate? if its the same deal wit TXRD where u can only use the buttons then i aint getting TXRD2...thats why i still play TXR3(very fun and technical).
well if thats the case 4get about it im not getting it i got used to playing analog on TXR3 cuz it conveys mur sensitive braking/accelerating like in real life those who favor grip like me wuld luv it...i have TXRD and the buttons just dont cut it for me...btw TXRD tuning suks almost everything works the opposite way ud expect it to be if ya know wat each part does...
nono, you CAN use the second stick in txrd2, but it's turn off in settings by default, and what's up whith that 'getting-not getting'? it costs me 25 cents per blank disk to check if a game is good and the console mod is simple either

I find Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2 a LOT easier than TXRD1. As I managed to make 50,000,000 CR in only 6 hours.
PolishedMetal 7 months ago
@PolishedMetal I know right. The races were so much easier to beat in Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2.
