Delicious recipe. Love how quick it is yet so flavorful. I actually used bisquick pancake mix so didn't need to use baking powder and soda. The pancake mix instead of the flour tasted great.
No, it's not difficult at all. If you have all the ingredients, it's just a matter of throwing them all together at the right time! I feel cooking is fun and when it's fun, it's easy! And the best part is the eating!!!!!!!!!!!
Does the cobbler come out real crispy with this recipe? I gotta have mine crispy. Dose the fruit come out soft? When making peach cobblers I usually add melted butter and lard for the cobbler and cook the fruit on the stove before baking. Never used any kind of milk for cobblers.
You used only 2 apples for the entire dish? This looks like a great apple cobbler, but don't you need more apples?? I usually use about 6 or 7. The problem I have when I make it as that I cannot get the dough to spread evenly over the apples when I'm spooning it on. It sticks to the back of the spoon, and I often cannot get it to cover all the apples evenly. Do you have any suggestions?
You should gauge the pan your using and see that the apples are covering your baking dish. Sometimes apples are huge, so you need less apples. Honestly, the number of apples I use varies each time due to their size. So, have 4 handy. Peel 2 and see if that's enough. If not, peel the other 2 and add to the other apples. The topping does not need to spread evenly over the apples. When it's cooking in the oven, it will spread even more. Is the butter your using cold or room temp
It really should not stick on the spoon, especially if the butter is cold. Use your fingers to wipe it off your spoon...there is nothing wrong with that.
I've been really wanting to make some apple cobbler, and this was a great vid to show me how. I got to watch a pretty lady make it, and it turned out great, too!
