well i rode my bickerton 1000's( lterally ) of miles in the 80's,saving fortune on tube+bus fares.doddle to ride once you get used to it and a cinch to fold/unfold.don't listen to any cynics,they're great!

Nice ad, i just acquired 2 of these cute bikes in brand new condition. One even had the protective blue plastic on the fenders. The manual dates show 1978.. 2 brand new 30 year old bikes~! Dean Victoria BC Canada

This is the Bickerton TV advertisement from November 1983. It was put together for Bickerton Rowlinson Ltd by Sharps advertising, who subsequently became Dorland (part of Saatchi and Saatchi). This was a brave 1st for a small bike company.
