With all respect due to Aurlus, the father of soukous is Kanda Bongo Man who invented the rythme by setting a quicker pace to Franco Luambo's rumba and making an extensive use of the solo guitar. Diblo Dibala emerged from being guitarist in KB Man's band to later form Loketo with Aurlus and Co, from which other people like Awilo and Sahlomon would emerge and so on,,. Hence "C'est Aurlus Mabele le NOUVEAU ROI DU SOUKOU", not "LE ROI DU SOUKOUS". Let truth be told for future generations.
