I love this ad. I am originally from Norway, been living in the US for 8 years, and I tell everybody I meet here about it. The shot where the guys are rowing the boat, is shot in my hometown of Aalesund. Makes me proud.

This is the story of me and my father.

Our whole lives we've been telling people that we were Irish (We actually believed that we were).

Then a few months ago, a distant aunt of his visited from Michigan (We live in Texas), and explained that we are actually Swedish; we don't even have a drop of Irish blood in us.

Dad and I were speechless when we saw this commercial.

I'm just glad we didn't go all the way to Ireland to find out... LOL

hehe, that's funny - taking a ferry to Stockholm :D That would be like taking a ferry from Miami to Los Angeles - a frikin' huge detour. So there are no ferries going from Oslo to Stockholm - but who the hell in the US knows that :P

Indeed. I have to state for the record though, that Norwegian folk sounds very similar to the Irish (fiddle playing and so on) The Vikings had an impact on Irish culture etc etc. so often people in North america refer to stuff as 'celtic' its actually Norse.
