ocarina of time was basically a 3d version of this game. No link to the past, no ocarina of time simple! the most influential zelda game of all time all hail 'link to the past'

@elvencloud Excuse me but to have invented the series ALttP would have to have bee the first Zelda game. The Legend of Zelda was most certainly the first.

@CasualVader I'm just referring that the basic pattern of the games was invented by this game. Three basic dungeons at the beginning? Check. Eight dungeons afterwards? Check. Big boss guy with multiple forms? I think so. :)

Not to mention the whole "I must get complete the quest to get the master sword to defeat my enemy" thing.

@CasualVader The legend of Zelda invent the Genre where the current Zelda formula was invented by a link to the pasts game play.....with is as follows......small amount of story then 3 dungeons then another bit of story then 8 dungeons then a small amount of story follows by the final dungeon witch leads to the final boss with has more then one form ^^ (now there are exceptions to this like most of the GB/GBC/GBA games but even a few still follow the link to the past formula) ^^

well, they COULD make it sound amazing in an orchestra, but they choose instruments that don't fit

or the beat is waay too slow...

they can do it, but they choose not to..and it pisses me off so badly
