  • Hello, I just came across this video. I just sealed my Mongolian Kinky Curly hair with this glue and let it dry over night, and it is still a little tacky. Was yours like this?

  • @MzShortcake310 yeah but i dont know how much it helped

  • I add black powder rit dye to the bottle before applying the fray stop.

  • You should buy from chinese vendors. better hair and not TOO expensive.

  • @Blackbarbietea Hi. Do you know of any Chinese vendors I can buy from. Thank You.

  • but one of the main reason why weave sheds is because its cut

  • Thanks for getting back to me :-)

  • I've just seen this video. I wanted to know are you still using this method? How has it worked? Did it noticeably stop shedding? Did it cause your hair pr scalp any problems? What about if you put oil in your hair or moisturiser does it make it come off? Sorry to bombard you, but I did my 2nd ever weave and it sheds like crazy, kinda like I'm a malting cat!!! :-S

  • @ookoro

it helps but it did seem to come off a lil with oil but not too much. but to be honest, if you just have a terrible weave, forget about it. better off buying a different brand of weave. i dont really seal them anymore

  • how much did it cost

  • Using knot sealer (the same stuff you use for lace wigs), or acrylic sealer (u can get from walmart or home depot) works great on keeping the shedding to minimal if any. just spray the wefts before attaching to your hair. (let dry overnight).. the quality doesnt really matter, all weave sheds.

  • good to know =)

    thanks!

  • Even with premier hair ...(i paid 130 + on virgin indian hair...per bundle..) you will still get shedding although i may not be AS much as it would if you purchased the more popular brands of hair , shedding is unavoidable...I will say though...using fray away and stop shedding to secure wefts even more can increase the life of the hair itself! and I think its a wonderful IDEA!!! =)

  • I would recommend just buying a better quality hair. If you can't order some hair purchase Velvet Remy or Goddess. That just seems like too much work and I worry about it irritating you also because that product is made for clothes not hair. Just my two cents :0)

  • thanks for the input =) truth is, i bought some milkyway and i was really mad because, even with doing this, it sheds like crazy. but when i buy straight hair (the milky way was a bodywave) i dont have this problem but curlly human hair always does this to me. is it because its curly or just the quality?

  • You know how weave is already processed when it's colored? Well when they add a body wave to it(which is pretty, I might add, but unbelievably hard to straighten when you want to change things up), they're processing it even more, when breaks it out like crazy.

When I had that(a Remy Velvet--80 dollars a pack), whenever I ran my fingers through it, it shed. I stick to straight hair and curl/scrunch for body since then lol.

  • thanks =)

  • but if your placing that on your scalp, that would be very irratating i would guess. its made for the clothes and not hair. but hey, we pay all this money for hair we have to do something lol

  • well i just did it to my weave and put it in about an hour ago. i'll let you know if i feel any scalp agitation

  • @kenietha

    did it work?

    did it irritate your scalp?

  • @icingsugar6

    no my scalp was fine

  • i questioned too fast.

  • no problem =)

  • question? does that have an odor? does it stick to your real hair the way weave glue does when you do stocking caps?

  • I think that style on you will be so prettylol Linda.

  • wut style? u mean bangs? maybe i'll try it.

  • great review i will have to start buying this for my clients

  • cool! but if you're going to be doing this in large amounts of hair, it might be easier to just hold the whole weave in a tight bundle and dip the stitching side into a bowl of stop fray. idk i havent tried it yet but i plan to do that with my next weave. but if you do, just remember to unravel the weave and lay it out flat to dry so it doesn't stick together. i'm planning on doing that today so i'll find out how it works out

  • great tips

  • thanks!

    glad to help =)

  • Good Morning

and great tips to boot on this one

  • good morning to you too =)

and thanks! i'm actually planning on doing this to my weave i'm gonna put in this weekend.
