This isn't labeled correctly. This is an a capella version done with vocaloids. It's misleading because the title suggests you just replaced the vocalist with a vocaloid, but that's not the case.

No, it's not a child singing it. It's a singing synthesizer program. Hatsune miku is the most popular model. She does and fact have a very high pitched voice, but if you noticed many japanese people have high pitched voice. Her voice pitched is some what like a piano, so if a note is high, her voice will be very high.
