  • @xXMozManXatx I started doing them when Crossfit became popular a few years back, so yes, I can do a few. I've never counted them for max reps really. They are tough no doubt. I respect anyone that can do them. :)

  • When you do pull ups.Do you just go one set max or do sets to increase the amount you can do?I can only do 4 max and I'm finding it hard to increase.Took me 2 weeks to go from 3 to 4...

  • Im currently maintaining 28/29 strict pull ups with the over hand grip. I think I'll post a video once I reach 30, these are good form though, I'd say you just need to try and blast that last one out !, its all in the mind you can do it !

  • 180 pounds. i dont put me doing pull ups on youtube. this isnt alot and by me saying i can do it i dont mean i can do alot either. when you do 30 then your not messing around

  • Well, then GTF off of my page if you have nothing to add besides trying to make yourself feel better by mouthing off about this number or that number that you can do. 10, 20, or 30 reps......doesn't matter as each person is different. This vid is posted for my purposes of documenting my progress, so if you don't approve then piss off kid.

  • @Auriconxl Those were excellent reps, and doing anything over 15 reps with good form is outstanding, especially given that you are muscular,rather than skinny. I also liked how you responded to nrlnhlwhatever, as tose kinds of rude punks need that kind of nose-ripping.

  • What should you do if you are not strong enough to do a pull up? Is there another exercise that can you can do?

  • you can't do a pull up? lol sorry not trying to sound like an asshole

    but um you can have a training partner with you wherever you exercise and have him hold your feet as you do the pullup i'm sure you can do atleast 5 by your self and then have him assist you a little bit to get the rest done. Or there is a machine at some gyms where you have this thing you step on to and you can insert a pin into w/e weight you need to assist you. So if you need 16 pnds of assist you put the pin in at 16 pnds.

  • get a chair and help yourself just enough so that u still work hard while doing the pull ups, get it so that you do about 8 untill ur arms are real sore, good luck =D

  • I remember doing 16-17 myself in highschool when I never even strength trained or worked out, I just played football/baseball. Is that a miracle or does muscle not matter how many you can do?

  • of course muscle matters, you probably developed some kind of muscle from playing football or baseball

  • when your a teenager it really doesn't matter how much you workout, it helps build muscle sure but most of the muscle u build in high school is muscle that your body builds just because your growing or in puberty

    I can do 10 - 11 strict pull ups.

    That's really good for you age.

    I do them a bit slower and can do 35 in a row, but I usually do 3 sets of 10 with a 30 second break in between each set.

  • Once every single back workout, which equates to two times per week at the moment.

    I always train back with chins no matter what else I do.

    Looks like you are holding onto a square bar, which is even harder than a standard chin up bar. 5/5.

  • Best real pullups i've seen yet, perfect dead hang and chin up to bar(or over)and no kipping. It's better if one can do 17 without kipping than 100with kip. 5/5 stars. I can do 10-12 of these, and 16 underhand chins with dead hang and no kip =)

  • ok, i dont know who you are talking to, but if you are talking to me then i posted that comment over a year ago ... my new max is actually 40 deadhangs, haha, but i put on 15lbs of muscle since that, so i think im around low to mid 30's now for a max, not sure though ....... my other youtube account is Latissimus65 ... you can see what i look like there

  • I usually do 50 pullups over the course of a single back workout these days, so it's a little more than 17 now, plus I can do 20 in one set now as seen in my other vid on Youtube. :)
