@LaToyaVNikki here's my take on it, back in the late 80s early 90s when rap really started to mainstream R&B singers would rap in their songs, since you didnt have to have vocal talent anybody thought they could do it as long as they rhymed words to a bass beat. so there where all these corny sounding raps that all the songs could do without. At the top of my head I think of bobby brown, paula abdul, shanice, en vogue & BBD.
