If those who complaint about the animals still being in cages donated at least $5, maybe she'd be able to afford better accomodations for the animals.It must be really hard for her and her family to spend their earning to support this sanctuary instead of saving any cash for their old age or retirement. This is all our problem, animals in Colombia and Brazil get abused because of the demand for exotic animals all over the world.

She is not being funded by the state, she's been paying for this out of her pocket for years, I saw a documentary where she states that she hosts events, sells lunches and does raffles to be able to financially support her sanctuary which is NOT CHEAP. Someone helped her create a facebook page for her, there is info on how to help her on there. Look it up on facebook: Villa Lorena's Shelter-Wildlife rescue and sancturary.
