  • Great. Phrasing.

  • That's Hoagy Carmichael at the piano. "Stardust" might be the greatest ballad of all time...

  • @lukeasacher It's up there. Even if he had never written "Stardust", I'd still love Hoagy Carmichael. I get a kick the way he just randomly pops up in movies from this era. That voice! The first time I saw (heard) him in a movie, I recognized his voice from the cartoon version of Hoagy ("Hokey") on the Flinststones--long before I ever saw the real deal on film!

  • @nauort23 Hoagy! One of Keely Smith's favorites! And THAT is good enough for me!

  • I love this part. She was brilliant in her musical approach. Not only that she was really versatile; stage, theater, film

  • So the film about a year ago it was brilliant. Got across very well the obsessive nature of being a musician.

  • great clip - cool, very cool part of the movie with the dialog up front. One of my fav all time movies

  • Three great actors, Doris Day, Kirk Douglas, and Hogay Carmichael, and a great moment from the silver screen! Nice to see it again.

  • Doris day at her very best! And it is a great film!

  • Thx for posting this! I actually liked this film alot (I know a lot of ppl would disagree), Doris Day's voice is so lovely, especially with Harry James on trumpet. Thx again!
