Hi. I found the IVORME site and this video. Is the club still going strong? Is the membership growing? Do you think 2010 will be a good year for this? I used to race motocross in Michigan when I was a teenager from 1973-1977. This looks like great fun. I've been thinking about getting a vintage Maico (the bike I wanted as a teen but couldn't afford), but I didn't know where I could ride a vintage bike and I'm not interested in newer bikes.
Yes .. club is going well. This year we had 9 GP's and a motocross race. Next year we will have a full GP schedule and a full mx schedule. We may also be offering points for flat track vintage riders. Membership has been steady - although the economy has hurt turnouts for the past year and a half.
If you have any other questions go to the ivorme site and shoot me an email.
really, read's trojan track.....hmm..but doesnt it belong to victorias dad...uhm....oh, brian likens? sadly i wont be around this weekend. so who exactly am i talking to then? lol seeingas we both go there i might know you
lol well slow or not, at least you get to ride! lol i wanted to race ATV's or dirt bikes, but my mother said no when i asked her when i was younger and so i forgot about it, so ive never ridden a dirtbike, but i love riding ATV's lol
I love the way you guys do your practice run, nice and slow. In the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, they act like the practice is the actual race. Scares me to death because I'm on a Hodaka.
Thanks. The vintage scene in Indiana seems a bit sparse to me... but we are doing what we can to improve that. We have a new club just forming this year. (Indiana Vintage Off-Road Motorcycle Enthusiasts aka IVORME.) We are planning our first Vintage & PV race series for 2007. It looks like we'll be having 7 - 10 races this year. (In addition to any AHRMA races.) I think we are looking at a potentially good inaugural year.
could i enter my 1979 PE250? =D

I am the founder and Chairman of IVORME. I have only been to the vintage races at Read's tracks though.
(Also ... I am the slowest looking guy in this video...LOL)
