  • looks like a smooth ride

  • LOL last thing I need after moving from STS2 to TT with NASA is Jason coming out to kick my butt :p

  • thats a great time...its a bloody 1989 civic for crying out loud.

lap times are definately driver depenedent. anyone who has been to a track day will know this..when you see faster cars get stomped by slower ones simply because the driver in the slower car is that much better/has better rubber(probably)

  • Driving fast laps on that track is really driver-dependent. 1:40's are great times for a Civic, they really are, but would only be so-so laps for a good driver in the other cars mentioned. Just go out there on an open track day and watch those cars circulate around in the mid to low 1:30's. I see it every time I'm out there. Again, not to diminish his lap times. They were really, really good for a Civic and fun to watch too. :)

  • Well the Honda in the video has significant weight savings.

    Don't ever forget that.

A few hundred pounds of weight savings in an already light car will make a huge difference.

The civic most likely weighs less than 2000lbs, while the other cars are like 3500.

  • According to Car & Driver's latest test, this Civic is as fast as a 2007 997TT, 2 seconds/lap faster than a 2007 Aston Martin Vantage V8, and just 3 seconds/lap slower than a 2007 Audi R8.
