Hey it's not working on my acer. Does it work on v3.2.1?? If not is there a way to root the 3.2.1 or instal an older version so I can root? If anyone knows please help me! Thanks
Rooting open's up a host of possibilities for you, mainly the ability to install 3rd party non market applications, and running custom roms. Custom roms are generally more advanced versions, have fix's before the manufactures fixes thern, and are usually free of all the parasite crap applications bundled with the stock rom. Additionally many of the "cool" apps require root. Titanium Backup is awesome, but requires root.
you may have to try a factory data reset, go to "settings" then, privacy, then factory data reset. Something might be wrong with the base rom, also try to repartition/format those sdcards, be sure they are fat.

For those viewing this tutorial, this applies to Android 3.0, 3.0.1, if you are running 3, 3.1 there is another method. see my site for details
