  • Nice playing dude, I love the sounds this instrument can make :D

  • HOLY **** that's rare!!!! lefty man.... holy crap, man that's a nice piece of gear

  • I want a lefty fender bass vi too....could you please tell me where do u get it?

  • @edobb001

Southpaw Guitars, but I don't recommend them... service was shit. Anmy Fender Custom Shop dealer can help you.

  • @TheMilford so u got it from custom shop?how much is it??

    i want it BADLY!

  • @edobb001

You need to find a dealer that is a Fender Custom Shop dealer... like Southpaw or Dave's Guitars or Wildwood, etc. and get a quote. Mine was $4750... but that was 9-10 years ago. I would imagine they are quite a bit more now.

  • @TheMilford ok!

Thanks for your kindly reply man!!!!

  • as a fellow Bass VI player, I wanna say thank you for not only showing a great sounding preamp, but for showing a great demonstration of the Bass VI as an instrument. That, sir, is what Bass VI players should sound like.

  • @amplifiersmakenoise

THANKS! If you wanna hear it in action in a band check out my band Season Finale. (myspace 63876494)

  • I'm going to build one of these for myself. (: I may upload not sure.

  • Thanks for the nice words... I love my Bass VI and the Rusty Box is pretty much perfect for it... I've been using it direct into my MOTU 828 lately with very good results.

  • gorgeous lows, and has some nice and thick sounding highs.

  • Sounds nice! :o)#

  • Hello, pretty sound, What power amp is it?

  • It's a cheap 80s Traynor PM-100 I got on eBay for $100. It's about 100 watts into 4ohms. It has a slightly dark sound but for the most part doesn't effect the tone that much... especially since we are not driving it very hard in these videos.

  • Nice bass I can see it's not original, so did you make it yourself or buy a kit and put it together from parts?

  • you can order them through fender custom shop I think

  • yes you are right...

  • This is a Fender Custom Shop, Master Built Bass VI. It's a '63 NOS replica (or as close as Fender could do at the time)

I ordered it about 8 years ago.

  • omg i want this bass so muchhhhh more than any other one can u sell me yours? :)

  • What year is your vi?

  • I forget exactly... I ordered it about 9 years ago and it was finished and delivered almost 3 years after I ordered it. I asked them to replicate a '63 since that was the closest oldest year they could replicate parts from.

  • I think you have the worlds rarest bass.

A Fender Bass VI LEFT HANDED!!!!!

    Dude, nice find!

  • The Rusty Box is $175 plus shipping

  • Would this work well with distortion on a guitar amp? My friend has one and I really like it. Thanks.

  • Is the fret spacing the same as the jaguar? Like can you play it like an electric guitar?

  • where do you get strings for that type of 6 string bass?

  • just get normal bass gauges,

    like

    E

    A

    D

    G

    C (tune it to B)

and a guitar low E or A to get that High bass E

  • ernie ball has a 6 string set

  • Yup, that's a lefty model.

  • Please Dude, tell us how on Earth you managed to get a Left 'VI.....even Perry Bamonte couldn't get one....I've been trying to get one for 20 Years with no luck....

  • one of Rob Smiths main axe!

  • check out jet harris

  • is that actually a lefthanded model? how did you manage to get that?

  • Could you post another video playing your Fender VI Bass without the Rusty Box. I'd like to hear more of the sound that bass can produce, both picking and strumming.

    Thanks !

  • This is one of the better examples of Bass VI sounds as low guitar. I like the effect a lot too. People have posted that the Scecter Hellcat (which I bought) wasn't an instrument you'd play chords on. Your chords sound really cool. I think when you add the distortion you can't get the distinct sound out of the low chords, but when you play cleaner it works well, and softer sounds better than hard on these. It's good for the creepiness. How much is this pedal?

  • how much they cost

  • sounds nice
