  • Thanks for all the comments everyone!

Just to address some of the questions in the comments left here over the past few years - I still keep my orandas and they are still full of energy! I keep them in a 60litre tank which is well aerated with a good filtration system and just feed them regular gold fish flakes (although they do get the occassional freeze-dried treat!).

If anyone else wants to post a video response of their own fish I'd love to see it!

  • Cool fish!

  • i got 13 goldfish in a 80 gallon and they lived for 1 year and they still alive today

  • @chinnakone Thats so cool! Its been another year now are they still alive? Can you give me some tips on looking after goldfish and there diet? Im sort of new to this I have a black moor and 2 others there either Lionheads,Oranda's Or Bobbleheads :S

  • How many gallon is ur tank??

  • do you have to say healthy and beutiful? your making my goldfish look like they suck lol jk

  • I just moved my 1 fancy goldfish to a 20 gallon tank today. :)

  • Nice fish. I can't wait till my new tank is set up so I can finally get a moor & a fantail. You should look at my freshwater video. I hope your fish are still doing well =-]

  • Nice fish!

  • hey ya, how old are they, the calico isnt (well wasnt when you did the video)that old i can see that but i hope you realize that they are gonna grow very quickly, and out grow that tank in no time i keep orandas too and they are bigger than all my other fancies, how are they keeping anyway

  • but my calcio hasnt grown at all :S i bought about 1.5 inches tho, hes in a 12 gallon fish tank

  • Normal healthy behaviour would be them dashing back and forth almost restless? Mine are a bit too lazy...

  • @xnermeenx - My fish tend to get very excited like this every time they see me approaching the tank. They don't dash around quite so madly if I stay back to watch them and they certainly don't do it to other people (in fact, they usually hide if it's someone unfamiliar). Of course I can't film them without getting close, so what you get to see are some very excitable goldies :)

  • @SheonaMcC wow that's a real late reply, lol. My lazy fish died.

  • Your fish are moving around quite lively. A lot of it has to do with thier healthy condition. They also probably saw you come in and know you're the one who feeds them.

  • What a fab tank! If you dont mind me asking, how big is it and how much if i wanted to buy one?

  • its a shame people dont see goldfish as kool fish, i mean i have freshwater and coldwater tanks and the goldfish are on of my favorite. Especially the fancy ones are beautiful and a good looking tank enhances them, great job!

  • what a bunch of cuties!

  • It could be the amount of water the fish has, the amount of oxygen in the water, the water quality or it could just be a quirk of the fish if all other demands are met :)

  • kool tank an can u reply back to me dat hmmm is my fish ok cuz they go up de top of de water an do de thing wiv der mouths well some of em do they got everythink in the tank filter airpump an i feed em 3 or two times a day :P an i got quite a big tank

  • What a lovely home!
