For that we could have paid for single-payer for every American. Because of the Bush Admins' purposeful neglect of Wall Street, taxpayers have had to cough up another $2 trillion for THAT mess. With Reagan we got death squads in Central America, funded by arms sales to Iran. With daddy Bush we got a war against Panama, and the first Iraq oil war. With Clinton we got "welfare to work" reforms and budget surpluses. With baby Bush we got TWO wars, a $549 billion grossly inadequate medicare part D extension, and a Wall Street collapse.

Spending AT HOME, FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. A health care program (which would have been MUCH BETTER IF NOT FOR REPUBLICANS AND "CONSERVATIVE" DEMOCRATS. ) And so, the facts support it, DEMOCRATS ARE BETTER THAN REPUBLICANS.

There was never anything preventing litigation reform or tort reform from being either included in the HRC, or considered by itself, on its own merits, EXCEPT Republicans refusal to address it... or have it addressed. They mentioned it often, but only offered it on condition that everything else be totally scrapped as a precondition.

Republicans will find it hard to run in November on the basis of: We're going to work to take HRC away. By then, people will like it a LOT.
