The whole concept that both parties are to blame is more than misleading. Republicans have held the Presidency for 22 of the last 31 years and controlled congress for six of the eight Clinton years. The republicans have made the rules that both parties have to play by and then blamed the democrats for playing.
this coward must understand of course that after 8 years of bush and republican leadership, he cant hold obama or democrats responsible for the government being in such a "bad shape"
in defiance of this idiocy the democrats will hopefully continue to provide "fundamentally new models, not just minor fixes" for the sake of the country
Jesus, please quit with the Republic and Democrat shit. PLEASE people, all these ass clows keep doing is passing the battan back and forth inflicting the same painful agenda upon us EQUALLY. Our freedom is not a partisan issue. We need to kick ALL of them out and start over!!!
See it's shit like this that keeps us at a great disadvantage.
There can be no hope for us to unite and topple the agenda because most people still subscribe to the propaganda, and the rest are too stupid to care. Your precious Democrats are on an obvious mission to spend us into oblivion, collapsing the economy while expanding the federal government by leaps and bounds. You know who els expanded the Government and created huge deficits, Bush before him.
@citizen6cyx Yes, Bush committed us to $2 trillion in spending for his oil wars. His medicare part D, complete with donut hole, will cost $549 billion. For that we could have paid for single-payer for every American. Because of the Bush Admins' purposeful neglect of Wall Street, taxpayers have had to cough up another $2 trillion for THAT mess. And you guys are moaning about Obama? That is complete denial of reality. Democrats are better than Republicans. The FACTS prove it.
@citizen6cyx Maybe Democrats aren't THAT MUCH better than Republicans. But since we have a two party system, here are some FACTS to think about. With Reagan we got death squads in Central America, funded by arms sales to Iran. With daddy Bush we got a war against Panama, and the first Iraq oil war. With Clinton we got "welfare to work" reforms and budget surpluses. With baby Bush we got TWO wars, a $549 billion grossly inadequate medicare part D extension, and a Wall Street collapse.
This is not meant to be sarcasm or a joke. I honestly don't care WHO we replace them with. The nice lady who works at the shoe store. The old man who went out of his way to make sure you were using the right fertilizer for your yard, ANYONE!!
Anyone who will take just a little time to study the constitution and decides that they believe in it. We kill earmarks and lobbying making government a non profit organization so we dont create any more monsters and we get back governing.
@citizen6cyx In the first year and 4 months of the Obama admin. we have had a TAX CUT for 95% of Americans, significant investments in infrastructure, green energy, education, and job programs (MOST of which would not have been necessary if not for Bush's incompetence.) Spending AT HOME, FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. A health care program (which would have been MUCH BETTER IF NOT FOR REPUBLICANS AND "CONSERVATIVE" DEMOCRATS. ) And so, the facts support it, DEMOCRATS ARE BETTER THAN REPUBLICANS.
Wow! They don't get do they? They are pandering to a base that is comprised of retired or people on disability who benefit in the first year with this bill. Threaten to kill it and start over is not a good idea if you think you can win back some seats in Congress. Everyone on medicare or soon to be on medicare will vote you against you. And those on disability will be looking a deep cuts without the fed funding.
Come on Newt Gingich why not say what you really think.
You want to replace it before you cannot pass the point it is Legislation by a Black President, a Woman, and a Handful of Black civil right legislators who also happens to be Black and some even Gays.
This scumbag nutjob keeps taking credits for the economic boom of the 90's when all he did was obstruction and obstruction.
I wish you drop dead from a heart attack Newt, and that every doctor refuse to take care of you so you know what it is like to be denied healtcare when you have a soon with preexisting condition.
I think somebody's a sore loser. It's about time we get this healthcare reform passed. It's not perfect and it should include things like litigation reform in it, but it's a hell of a lot better than what we have now.
There was never anything preventing litigation reform or tort reform from being either included in the HRC, or considered by itself, on its own merits, EXCEPT Republicans refusal to address it... or have it addressed. They mentioned it often, but only offered it on condition that everything else be totally scrapped as a precondition.
Republicans will find it hard to run in November on the basis of: We're going to work to take HRC away. By then, people will like it a LOT.
I truly hope Newt, the T-bags and the rest of the GOP keep up their NASTY messages and LIES ALL the way up to the mid-terms!!! It makes me EVEN MORE motivated to vote ANY and ALL of the WACKJOBS out of office--even if they aren't in my district or state!!!!!
I think to be rich most often requires a bit of a sociopathic mentality. Then there is the inherited wealth crowd who never knew what privation was all about. You are right in saying that it is time to drop this adoration of the wealthy elite and view them for the soulless beasts most of them really are. Then we can shake off the cobwebs and take back our nation with clear eyes and reasoned thought.
@BillMMich Ad hominem much? Oh yeah, that is in the officially endorsed GOP manual "Arguing for Dummies" (available at your local Klan headquarters for $19.95) and I quote...."when lacking any cogent rebuttal to a well expressed and logical argument. call names, claim elitism or better create issues out of thin air" You must have memorized that rascal.
The ban of discrimination on preexisting conditions doesn't require a dime of funding. Go ahead and don't offer the funding, we'll just drop our insurance plans when we're well and then buy them back when we get sick. If you want to play hardball Newt, we can play hardball back.
@Mrcharliebobo No. The nightmare was being uninsured and knowing you are only one illness or injury away from bankruptcy and loss of everything you have worked for in life.
A nightmare was postponing seeing the doctor as long as possible because you didnt have h. insurance, and then finding out that you have a critical illness that should have been treated earlier.

Democrats are better than Republicans.
Republicans spend trillions on oil wars.
Democrats try to solve the severe problems in the nations health care system.
The most Senators are champions of the super-rich. The only ones that arnt, are Democrats.
So what you are saying is demonstrably untrue.
Yes, Democrats should be MORE PROGRESSIVE THAN THEY ARE. But THEY ARE BETTER THAN REPUBLICANS. And that is a simple fact.
