it can be made very easily but this was good. for the easy way you film yourself walking then duplicate then mask and change opacity

yeah, that would be one way to do it, however i did it different. I used the effect called ''Time Difference'' (i believe =P) This effect makes lines where the footage changes upon time. This is also the reason why i could only be able to do this effect on a still background. If you look closely you can see some grass on the left flickering as they were affected by the effect as well.
