@XXplaythegamesXX I don't blame you. It was a very emotional scene. We were very attached to that little calf because we had been with him all morning. It was very sad, but inevitable once he was lost from the herd.
I cannot believe this camera crew let that lion eat this baby buffalo! THEY SHOULD HAVE SAVED HIM!!!! Everyone knows that buffalo calf meat is juicy and succulent. It would have been great on the BBQ. Dumb asses.
I've decided this will be my last comment defending this video from those who feel this is a staged video. This is nature. It is not staged. I love animals and want these animals to survive in the wild. Wildlife tourism is the only thing allowing that to happen. It is because of videos like this we still have wild lions, cheetahs, tigers, etc. This video and many like it promote tourism which in turn promotes conservation. Stop hating and start seeing the big picture people. Thank you.
yes lion is brutal animal of course for the whole meaning of brutality and savage. It just an early extension to the brutality and savage of the human being,,, The matter is more than the right to eat or survive, it is the love of invasion and crushing other animals... This is simply justified because many animals found killed in his pride at the same time, so this behaviour is not for the seek of food, it is something more fundamental which is savage and unrestrained love for killing
@trashbash2001 Funny you should say that. Look for this video on an episode of Caught in the Act on Nat Geo Wild in the next couple months. Not sure yet when the next season starts but it will be part of it along with my Lions Battle Crocs video. Very excited to see how they edit it together! Glad you liked it and thanks for the compliment!
this is video is AWESOME. The filming, the position, what you captured was beautiful. Listen, all you idiots out there! Because a lion eats meat, doesnt make him monster. This happens in nature every fucking day. It's something called LIFE. And to all you sceptic morons who think this was staged. How do you expect to separate a calf from its mom and make it STAY peacefully by a try in the middle of nowhere. Come on people.
If the lion does not eat, it will die. if it eats the calf, it lives. in the end, somebody has to die! and exactly how would the person filming, help this calf against a full adult lion? tell him to get get? just because humans have rules, does not mean animals should abide by those rules.
so nature is nature I guess it will be ok for us human's to just start killing off defenseless babies and weak old people who cant defend themselves and say its just nature survival of the fittest..but because we're evolved we gotta follow rules where animals dont..im sick of people comparing these videos to us humans because we eat meat...its not nature when the babies get killed its unfornunant and it always will be..now when a lion or whatever takes down a mature prey it doesnt bother me
haha, it's a dream came true! sun is shining, green grass, beautiful colors, and a calf incapable of running/defending himself. The lion couldn't believe his eyes :))))) oh and yeah, he moves like a pro :))))
I couldn't stop laughing the lion bends down geting ready to pounce he's like all yeahhhh no one can see me here like his main is sticking up from the grass XD
If this was really true, and was not staged, I would love to get a hold of, that fucking camera man who shot that video, and put him in front of the fucking loin, If that was me right there I would do anything to save that poor calf.
@TheAdamjan1 You're not the first to think this, but you're wrong. I'm not a professional, this was shot while on safari and I promise you it was not staged.
@KELIKECRATUS Why would you say a Lion is a cruel beast. If I'm following your logic right you don't think lions deserve to eat? Nature can be cruel. Again following your logic isn't possible your god put that buffalo there so the lion wouldn't starve? After all there are many, many more buffalo left on the planet than lions. Sorry the video upset you. I'd recommend staying away from nature videos in the future if they upset you though.
@petts1 I'd like to see the people who think this was staged try to separate a buffalo calf from the herd. This is not an easy task even for a whole pride of lions. IDIOTS
@KELIKECRATUS because god prefers the strong and the smart. what animal would you prefer? the warthog or the leopard? if one had to die which one would it be, it would be the warthog in many's minds. we like god prefer power to weakness, intelligence to stupidity. you knew that stupid ass whiteboy.
@KELIKECRATUS Obviously you have no idea how nature works. If Lions don't hunt they starve and die. There's no way this calf would have found its mother and the mother would have simply have another calf. Lions are not cruel beasts there doing what they have to do to survive. If you dont like these videos don't watch them. This is how nature is.
Humans shouldn't interfere. Lions consume food just like you do to survive. You have muslim crap on your channel so I'm willing to bet you are NOT a vegetarian. Makes you a fkn hypocrite on top of it all.
Humans are worst than lions because they know better...they don't have to keep animals in cages and torture them for their consumption.
What an animal goes through because of us is far worst than what you see in this video.
@KELIKECRATUS thats would be horrible, then the loin wont eat, and the calf would die anyway, and look at it, a loin is 30 ft from it in short grass and cant see it, survival of the fittest.
@KELIKECRATUS seriously, are you 12 or something? You dont mess with nature. And because the lion has to eat, you think he's CRUEL??? i'm sorry, but grow up.
@KELIKECRATUS Because people who make this kind of video are just interested in the money they will get from selling the shooting. Only people that have no heart would feed a little poor calf to an adult hungy huge lion. These people are the real, curel beasts.
@anaclet This video was in no way shot for financial purposes. It was a moment in time caught on video during a safari with my wife. No one fed anything to the lion. This is called nature.
@petts1 Yes,you are right, that is YOUR nature, cruel, selfish, heartless and abhorrent. You must have made tons of money with that poor little calf's death. I hope you are happy.
@petts1 You are very welcome. You don't want me to comment or watch your videos because you KNOW what I am saying is the sad TRUTH. You are afraid I'll destroy your bloody business. But no, the internet is a free land and we don't accept censorship or intimidations. PETA is watching you, mr. pett. You have been warned!
@anaclet You're very confused. PETA is about the ethical treatment of animals. I know them well and respect their goals if not always their methods. There is nothing unethical about recording nature and then sharing that with those who appreciate the power of the natural world. Which is what this video is. The only reason I ask that you stop watching and commenting is because you are not accurate in your comments.
@petts1 You are laughable! And now you come to talk about accuracy. I am not only accurate in my comments, I am also humane and passionate. Throwing a defenseless, little calf to the jaws of a huge beast lion for a bunch of money is cruel, selfish, heartless and abhorrent. May the Allmighty have mercy on your soul. And FYI PETA has already seen that video and is very very angry.
@anaclet Is this a serious comment? If so you may need to look up the meaning of the word obviously, because there is no chain anywhere in this video.
HAHAHAHA that lion is so stupid ! its like " he cant see me if I hide behind this grass" he could just go over there and kill it, the baby buffalo cant run hard anywas

Buffalo calves can run within minutes of being born. that calf is seriously new to teh world. Calves are expected to run with the herd. If they don't - then bye and thanks for coming. Thsi was not staged. I would like to see anything other than a fully grown male lion take a calf away from a mother buffalo. Even man...
That's not at all how it happened. I find it so strange that I'm constantly defending this video. Male lions run into herds of buffalo and the herd panics and runs. The babies often get confused and get lost in the mix. B/c this calf was so young it was impossible for it to catch back up with the herd which had run and was over a mile away. What you see in this video couldn't be more natural. It's nature. Nature is often very cruel. I'm sorry the video upset you but it was not staged.
GOD SENT U THERE PROBABLY TO SAVE THE INNOCENT BABY? BUT U WERE HANDLESS, LEGLESS AND HEADLESS DICKHEAD WHO DID NOT DO ANYTHING EXCEPT WATCHING WITH UR NONSENCE EYES AND WITH UR GODDAMNED LENS
Hmm, it seems staged and if that's true this is really sad. I am sorry but I just find it hard to beleive the herd just left the poor baby. He seems fine and should be able to keep up with his mother who would also be checking him very frequently to make sure he's there.
@dappyish - it's not staged. you can read my other responses below. a baby buff being separated from the herd is not that unusual. Anyone who thinks things like this are staged while on safari have never been on safari.
As a buffalo mom, would you hang around and face that huge lion? Because it cannot run, that calf was undefendable. The Lions WILL scare the rest off, and if the rest of the herd leaves, then mother AND baby dies.
omg for those who dont bealive this guy just stfu because personaly i dont care if it was staged or not its a video like it or dislike it and if you dislike it then stfu and leave cause we dont care about your comments and who on earth would think of staging this unless hes a no life cause like seriously wtf
And to those of you who want to hate the Lion? A Hyena would have slowly ripped the calf apart, perhaps biting off its nose and other body parts. Then eat it alive.
It was obviously all staged for a good shot of 'wildlife'....there is no parents or other buffs around!!! It is impossible!!! So sad to plant a calf as a bait....
hah. that's why this camp is the best. In reality there is about a herd of about 250 buff's less then 1/2 a mile away. The Male lions run into the herds and they panic and run. Sadly sometimes the babies lose their moms and they can't catch back up. This calf was only about a week old which made it impossible for him to even consider trying to find the herd. Believe me we wanted to pull this guy into our land rover and drive away, but it's nature.
if you say so...I have no reason not to believe you ....It was just my impression but I wasn't there so ...and it is hard not to be sceptical nowadays
I promise you. This was shot by me on a safari in Kenya. Safari's are about conservation and appreciating nature. Nothing on safari is created in order to get "the shot."
I agree......I think this was staged. I mean you have a calf all alone.......what kind of mother leaves its calf? And not only that, but a male lion just HAPPENS to waltz in?? If I am right, the people who did these are beyond sick.
I shot this video on my Canon Vixia. I was in a Land Rover 15 feet from where it happened. It was at Governor's Camp in the Masai Mara, Kenya. This is the same camp where they film Big Cat Diaries on Animal Planet. We saw the herd of buffalo, they weren't far away. Sadly babies get lost and left behind by the herd more often then you would think. I understand the skepticism, but if you look through my videos they were all shot by me on Safari and nothing is staged on safari.
Ok, even though I am skeptical of these kinds of things with all the staged sick acts China does (pitting goats against lions, cows against tigers), I take your word for it and I believe you.

@VCthaGOATdunker Trust me, Hyenas DON'T do it slowly, but they DO eat you alive.....

You're wrong. So wrong I can't even explain it.

And you know this how....were you there??? Your profile says United States.

@petts1 Dont even try arguing with this idiot, I guarantee this happens in the wild all the time.

Ok- I have no problem with this (being a wildlife lover) but- WHERE are the calf's PARENTS?!?!?!?! ...... WTF? Why is the herd NOWHERE to be seen?
