i lovee bosnians a lot of my friends are from there and when i think of Bosnia its associated with Balkans and Turkey persoannly has a much more middle easter/ perisan feel, although there may be some similarities as far as i know its quite different and i see why people wud love to have bosnian culture I'm from Spain but have been to Bosnia and i luv it

P.S. Bosnian music sounds very Balkan. Turkish music uses completely different scales, chords etc etc. And no, l'm not Bosnian or Turk or Serbian or Greek etc. etc.

If people are ignorant, you can't do whole a lot. I am half Turkish. The clothing resembles some Turkish folk costumes from the Balkans. But the dance and the music are totally Bosnian. Why ignorant racist bigots do not want to understand that cultures exchange ideas, styles, music etc. Long live Bosnia and that everybody that want to stay peaceful,respectful and tolerant. For starters the music is not very similar to Turkish. Costumes are kind of similar because of religion, probably. And the style of dancing is different too. It is very difficult to compare to turkish as Turkish folk culture is very rich and varies from region to region. Greetings from a half bosnian-turkish who lives in the US :-)

Kolo is a traditional South Slavic dance. Turkey has a rich culture because it assimilates peoples and cultures and claims it all as its own. Bosnian music is a bit influenced by Turkish...but then...if one researches Turkish music which influenced Bosnia...one comes down to a lot of Aegean-Greco-Byzantine, Sufi & Persian. Even the architecture of our mosques is Byzantine. We assimilated from the Turks...some of... whatever they assimilated from others.

nice very nice. similar to turkish but i wouldnt say identical. turkey and bosnia have long history but there are still some differences even in the dance. for instance, like this music. the instrument used is rarely used in turkish folk. but the routine is very much like turkish. very nice though. thanks for posting this Selma. can u just tell me what the lady is saying afterwards. thanx!!!
