because my band plays in A and catalepsys guitarist was jammin on my guitar the other day and he downtuned it.

We recorded the album in Drop A with some songs and Drop A with the 7th string tuned to A# for some songs.

Then we played drop G# live because it was deeper then after a while we tuned back up to A.

Now we tune to drop G and were writing and recording our next album in Drop G.

Trust me when I say our mission is for it to be the catchiest, heaviest album that could possibly be made.

Personally, I think Catalepsy is way better then Whitechapel, maybe not on a technical level (yet!) but actually song writing and catchiness, yes. Those riffs are fucking beastly, not just the breakdowns. I only liked 2 songs from This is Exile, all the others sounded the exact same. I don't know, maybe I like hearing blasphemous lyrics better then hearing an entire album dedicated to dismembering a girl, such as The Somatic Defilement, which was recorded quite shitty.

Trust has some tricky parts to it(on guitar) i have the tabs and the sweeping part is hard(for people who cant sweep like me) though Whitechapel's drummer is a beast, I'll choose Catalepsy over any Deathcore band anytime.

Sorry, but calling these guys a "twin band of Whitechapel" is an insult to Whitechapel...

They have their moments, but Whitechapel blows them out of the water in song composition, technicality, vocals, and everything else.

I do prefer them to generic, boring deathcore, such as Suicide Silence and Carnifex though.

They are not exact twins either because Catalepsy tunes down to Drop G# and Whitechapel tunes a half step higher to Drop A.
