@ismahooAhmad He's probably telling the new tale because of the death threats. Also, he can say there is a prophet buried there, justly, and believe that Muhammed is the last prophet simply because, if this tomb is around the time of Jesus, this "prophet" would've lived around 500 years before the time of Muhammed.

7:40 the answer is that Jesus got two missions, 1- He was prince of peace, he got to deafeat the evil. 2- the other huge task was to get together all the scattered tribes of Israel. The people we know as jews are only one tribe of Judah, and we have in hebrew bible a story of ten tribes taken to the east by 800BC, known as lost tribes. So Jesus must have in his mind, he got to go to those tribes and present himself as Masiah. And thats why he went to east.

The mainstream Islamic belief is that Jesus was raised up alive to heaven and will come again, but it doesn't say this anywhere in the Quran. All prophets, including Jesus, are dead and buried. I'm becoming more convinced that this could be his final resting place.
