@ItsaKYbeat yeah, unless you master a fruity loops track, it will sound utterly terrible. reason's default sounds are pretty solid.

whenever u're gonna make a song create a mixer 1st. dont just start by creatin an instrument first, cos wat is happenin is the first instrument is connected to the main output device on top, which means it is the only device that will be played.

by the way, I've never seen a combinator so tricked out..

I';ve gotten both good lines out of keyboards and the matrix both. I would agree that playing keys is more fun and you get more realistic variation, but there is stuff you can do in the matrix that you would never play, and there is stuff you can lay out by drawing it in the score that you flat out cannot play. Then again, if you have zero musical training, your sense of melody will be garbage. It's really good to get any music lessons as young as possible.

search for info on how to make your computer keyboard recognised as a midi keyboard...

Get a cheap midi keyboard, you'll be better off with it trust me. You're just gonna get lost in the details trying to click your way through a melody.

yeah after I created the instruments, then turned the rack around the instruments were not connected to the small mixer, they were connected to the default mixer, I have no idea how youre doing that
