  • Very nice!

  • Very well played. Is it a Focalink? I had a long beak Focalink pendant, and it was one of my very favorite sopranos, but I gave it away.

  • @Waldco It is a Focalink. I like the long stem pendants too.

  • yup , where???????? and how much?

  • @blablaablabla go to song bird ocarina and the pendant one are 30 to 40 $ good luck. i got mine a black 1 for $38

  • where do you buy your ocarinas, or suggest a good online store to purchase them?

  • do you have tabs plz!

  • do you have tabs?

  • do you think you could make a version for 12 hole tenor?

  • @CeroS669 Thank you !!

  • Impressive! Looks like a great instrument to just pocket everywhere you go.

  • @Gokunama Definitely. I wear them more than keep them in my pocket, but they are extremely portable.

  • its a pandant ocarina and you can get ca really cheap one at songbird ocarinas

  • Where did you get the sheets for this? (Or was it learnt by ear?)

  • @WJM015 This was learned by ear.

  • Wow. That's beautiful! I have two soprano pendant ocarinas, but I sadly am still learning.

Does it take a lot of air to get that tone quality?

  • @kichinia We're all always still learning :D.

This pendant doesn't take a lot of breath to play, but in my experience, most pendants don't. If you're look a pendant with very light breath and a soft volume, check out Terry Riley's ocarinas.

  • @ocarinadiva I doubt there'll be a day when someone learns nothing.

I don't know why, but every time I try to play a note other than "Do," it gets a breathy timbre instead of the clear timbre that you get, hence the question about the breath amount.

I shall look at Terry Riley's ocarinas, does he have other types of ocarinas as well?

  • @kichinia Definitely look into his pendants. I have one and that one makes me want more. He may make transverse ocarinas but I've only seen his pendants.

  • @ocarinadiva He makes transverse ocarinas too? Amazing! That's next on my list of ocarinas to get (if I can afford it), well, that and a triple bass (the way it sounded when you played it made me fall in love with it).

  • @kichinia We're all always still learning :D.

  • wow!

  • it's a beautifull sound !

    I like it.

  • @ocarina0708 Thank you! I like your pendants more :) The ocarina is in C.

  • I have aocarina similar to yours. Could you make a tutorial that teachs us how to play an ocarina, please? Greetings from Peru

  • Would it be possible to get the tabs for this song? :D Great playing, by the way.

  • Wow, excellent job! And what a beautiful song. =)

  • @fireflysenshi6

    Thank you very much! ^_^

  • can you get me tabs for this song on the 12 hole ocarina? message me back please!

  • @Soc2596 I'll try to do this some time this week. Send me a PM and I'll email them to you. Or you could post a request on the STL-F.

  • @ocarinadiva actually I learned the song by ear yesterday so I dont need the tabs anymore! thank you though!

  • are the pendant and necklace ocs the same??

  • @Ellasocarina Yes, necklace ocarinas are pendant ocarinas.

  • Beautiful! Been looking for that tune by Sojiro on the Suishin-album: "umi-ni yurarete". Would have been awesome if you did that song Ocarina;)

  • I don't have that one yet though I'm planning to pick it up. When I do - I'll see about learning it :)

  • You are most kind, dear..*s* Love and blessing

  • Hey, I bought one just like that. I'm going to try and practice till im good enough to learn that song. Any pointers? Oh, and where is a good place for tabs?

  • Thanks! ^_^

  • omg mad skillz

  • @nobell23 how could u say that?!!

  • tabs or music pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase!

  • very nice! I want to get an ocarina pendant and I like the wan wan type but I want an alto. I'm so picky because Focalink doesn't offer a handpainted alto wan wan, just solid colored ones :(

  • You can contact Focalink directly via email to have any sort of custom paint job, even if it's not listed on the selection.

  • man, i need to look up this sojiro guy. This is the second song I ended up liking a lot and it was made by the same guy. You play it so well too, which makes me want to master it as well. ^_^

  • very nice. sounds great!

  • That was really fantastic! Flawlessly played. I ordered the Taigie pendant hopefully it will be here in a week or two. :) keep it up!

  • Thank you!

  • Nicely played with a wonderfully haunting quality.

  • Thank you. : )

  • Ah, such a lovely song, and you played it beautifully. It's good to hear/see a piece played on a pendant ocarina as gorgeous and resonant as that one :)

  • Thank you very much!

  • By the way, which album is this song of his on?

  • Not sure which album it was originally on, but I found it on the 25th anniversary selection CD. Sojiro has so many CDs!

  • Very enchanting! ^.^ .. That Ocarina is quite beautiful as well.

  • Wow, you use a lot of kind of ocarinas and play them very well, nice!!

    Jorel

  • I'm looking forward to learning the compact double pendant, which has twice the range as a regular pendant!! =D

  • Ooh, I like this song! Very nice!

  • Thank you!

  • Aaah, that really made my morning! That pendant really has a beautiful tone.

  • Aw, thanks. : )

  • I love the focalink users.

    Performed very well.

  • Thank you very much!

  • I love Sojiro's music and you played it very well :) Hope to see more soon!

  • Thank you! :D

  • Excellent playing, and I love the sound of the new mic and setup!

  • Thanks, it's actually the same mic - I just moved it higher up and into the middle of the room, and changed the setting to increase sensitivity so it picks up more reverb!

  • very very nice... wonder how you'd make that sound on a terry riley...

    awesome not just nice!

    dave

  • Yeah, the Terry Riley pendants look pretty cool too. I finally got the compact double from STL. I'll make a video at some point. Right now I have more ocarinas than I have time... : (

  • Interesting how the high pitch picks some some resonanance in the room. Very sweet sound.

  • Thanks, I did some more experimenting with using the mic from across the room. I think I will probably record this way from now on...
