LEV VLASENKO (1928-1996) - Soviet and Russian pianist , Professor MGK Tchaikovsky . People's Artist of USSR ( 1991 ) . Nephew of seeds and Alexander Benditskih.
From the very beginning of his musical development had excellent perceptive educators: first, his mother - a graduate of the Tbilisi Conservatory, then a prominent Georgian teacher, Professor Anastasia Davydovna Anastasia Virsaladze (a pupil of the celebrated Esipova), with whom he worked in a school for gifted children.
Ten-year debuted at the Tbilisi Opera, performing the first concert for piano and orchestra by Ludwig van Beethoven . In 1948 he moved to Moscow , where he enrolled at the Institute of Foreign Languagesand simultaneously studied at CIM Tchaikovsky in H. B. Flier . In 1953 he graduated from the basic course in the Conservatory and continued his studies in graduate school.
Lev Vlasenko talent showed itself in his brilliant performances at international competitions. In 1956 the pianist won the competition named after Franz Liszt in Budapest, and two years later became the winner of the First International Competition Tchaikovsky , giving Moscow a palm Vennu Cliburn.
Also in 1958 began a successful career Vlasenko concert pianist. L. Vlasenko played a lot in Russia and abroad. In his posters - Scarlatti, Mozart, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Brahms, Debussy, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and others, but his closest bright passionate artistic nature works by Liszt, Beethoven and Rachmaninoff.
Vlasenko devoted much time teaching: he worked in the Sveshnikov Choir College of, at the Gnessin School . L. Vlasenko taught at the Moscow Conservatory in 1957 aged 39, going all the way from assistant professor to head the Department of Flier. In the early 1990s, he became a professor in the United States (Indiana University and New England School of Music, Boston).
Many students have won the Lev Vlasenko, and winners of international competitions and leading professors of conservatories in Russia, former Soviet republics and foreign countries.
Among his pupils - a number of famous pianists, including Mikhail Pletnev , Nicholas Suk , Theophilus Bikis , Karine Ohanian, Jania Aubakirova, Kalle Randalu, Nataliya Vlasenko, Alexander Strukov, Victor Shestopal , Duncan Gifford and others Vlasenko was a jury member of many prestigious international competitions, and in 1994 became chairman of the International Competition Tchaikovsky.
The pianist led the association of PI laureates Tchaikovsky. Lev Vlasenko wrote 22 of the plate. He mademany appearances on television and radio. Released 4 CD with his recordings (including one in Germany). In 2002 the publishing house "Kompoziotor" book "Lev Vlasenko. articles, memoirs and interviews."
