Why didn't the tow the car by the bumper? Because it's already missing at the back, and the front one is totally submerged perhaps? Shame for an 18 month (at most) year old Fiesta (at the time) to be wrecked like this though.
you could have just brought your tools and your car , and take the spark plugs off , and then crank it up and see if it the water comes out from the engine , and put the spark plugs back , crank it up and see if it starts
Once a car has been 'wet' as in under water in the sea, it is a write off. ALL the electrics need replacing [remember salt...] plus the interior plus the engine if it was running when it got stuck and wet.....
fucking dumb ass towing it there now u gota problly put it on the frame machine and pull it back into place... wait thats rite its totaled cus it a piece of shit ford!
'It wasn't a writeoff'.... Bull. Once it's been submerged in sea water, it's totally useless. Empty the engine and it'll be full of sand and bits, and will seize solid within 24 hours.
@CedrikTheManiac00 Yes, indeed. The car has been given total loss, I don't doubt it. But you know... it's sort of stupid to see how people treat things...
@DerAdventurer bumpers are made so the do not kill people when cars bump into them , theres a small "eye" bolt to tie down the car but this is not even strong enough the cars stuck fast in mud and sand ,this cars a insurance write off anyway if indeed there insurance covers them when they take the car on to the beach so its no good anymore any ways
@nineteen1972 Sure it wouldn't have use anymore due to water. However, it just looks bizarre to deal in such a rough way with the machine - if you know what I mean.
@ShanesAutos lol that's been 100 years ago. Indeed, it ended up in a junkyard it might have been recycled and probably - with an amount of luck - it became a steel part of a Jaguar, or a Mercedes Benz or even a Rolls Royce.

I wonder who had to pay for that recovery job? Anyway I'm sure the owners enjoyed going home on the Train!

Unbeleiveable, I've just run the reg number through Askmid and these are the results:
MJ08DSY is on the Motor Insurance Database today
The car would need a new body, new upholstery, serious work on the engine and electrics.. It should be a write off!
