This movie is amazing but it looks like the famous Full Monty in far 1997.

Similar lines: bad conditions of life(steelworkers fired and without money=lifestile of poor indian people), an attempt of redemption (a strip=a possible victory ina famous show), outcome unexpected(strip turned fine=victory at the show), final amazing performance(final funny strip=final amazing dance).

the reason why this film gets any criticism at all is because it displays the harshness of reality without sugar coating it. What you see is what you get. It almost makes you experience life in the slums for the people shown. Therefore as humans we are sensitive to such realities and avoid them to prevent guilt, shame etc...

They've done amazingly! I was well happy that they won so many. they deserved it. Danny Boyle did a great job, fantastic movie. All the actors were great, especially the young actors.
