For all who still do not know what the end of the series is about: There are our "ancestors" somewhere in the universe and many many years ago they communicated with us via "the light" (the ball of light seems to be a kind of "transport coffin" for wisdom / thoughts / information) which was originally transported in UFO´s (like the one in the waterpool as seen in the series) but it crashed and so the messages never reached their destination. And the red riders are the keepers of this secret ;-)

well, if you have a satellite dish, there is occasional showing of this series at "movies4men" tv-channel for free - (you just need digital satellite receiver), at 28.2°E Astra 2A/2B/2D & Eurobird 1 satellite.. ciao!

too bed this little boy Itaco Nardulli died some years ago...i was 14 when this miniserial came out and...i fell in love with Michael York!!!while all my girl friends were normally in love with Miguel bosè or the actor who plays Michale's son. Sometimes is difficult dealing with ourselves
