my grandpa died 4 years ago and every month he would take a weekend with all the grandkids out fishing. We all looked forward to it. Man..he was the youngest 70 year old i ever met! Once he was stepping into the boat from the dock and it started to drift away and his legs wernt quite long enough..what a splash he made..6 months ago he had a heart attack while doing the thing he loved the most-being with his family. i love and miss you gramps some day well go again!

My son Scott passed away 2 months ago. he fished every time he got the chance. Most photos of Scott include fish. We went Tarpon fishing in Boca Grande, Fl. It was a family trip with a guide quite pricey at the time. But he wanted to share his love of fishing with Mom, Dad and brother John. I'll never forget the trip. I sure wish this was a river bank. RIP Scott M. Johnson 4/30/78 to 12/5/08. Scott left a wife and 2 small children. I hope they find his love of fishing.

This reminds me of one of my best friends!! Today is his 17 birthday, and he got the greatest gift ever because he's in Heaven now. But he died when he was 16..and this reminds me of him and his dad..

What a wonderful song but Jeff hasn't ever done anything But wonderful touching and meaningful songs ...I love this mans singing. River Bank makes me think when i was young and my Daddy always went fishing and would take me.He died when I was 10 yrs old and Im now 53 but he gave me wonderful memories.

My son Scott passed away 2 months ago. he fished every time he got the chance. Most photos of Scott include fish. We went Tarpon fishing in Boca Grande, Fl. It was a family trip with a guide quite pricey at the time. But he wanted to share his love of fishing with Mom, Dad and brother John. I'll never forget the trip. I sure wish this was a river bank. RIP Scott M. Johnson 4/30/78 to 12/5/08. Scott left a wife and 2 small children. I hope they find his love of fishing.

My aunt debbie always went fish with her husband and sometime she would take my brother cause that is her godchildren and then one day she got brain cancer and couldnt fish anymore and this song just is so sad and reminds as all of my aunt debbie

I love to fish with my dad. We hardly do it anymore. He left my mom when i was three and sometimes he would pick my brother and I up to go to his house and he would take us fishing. But he moved so we hardly see him. I cry everytime I hear this song.

this is a great song!! my father inlaw and I spend a lot of time fishing at the river here in town. my brother in law drowned in the river and this song reminds me of it everytime and I think it is a grave yard instead of a river bank thanks for this song my wife and I love it alot..

What a great song. My Grandfather just died and we used to spend some long summer afternoons on the river behind his house. Wow, this song must have been written about him. Thank you for this wonderful song.
