Thanks guys, Glad to be able to share these old films. I know that Jose was an early practitioner and he may have studied with Lao Kim. Don't forget this clip is over 30 years old. I know that at that time Leo Fong was pretty big in Manila. I have him also somewhere.
I've seen a few of the forms that were taught by Navarro, a student of Lao Kim and it looks to me, like it is the same style. A lot of signature type moves that they did. I know they called it "Hong Chia" Mandarin for "Hung Ga", but I think it is/was what is called a 'village' Hung style. Either "Pre" or "Non" Wong Fei Hung lineage. Interesting stuff to watch though. Keep the clips coming Carl.
That was my first thought when I saw the form in your clip.I also learned one of Lao Kims forms from Sifu George Ramos (Hung Fut) and I could see many similarities..yes and I agree its surly a village style or pre wfh although I also learned some pre WFH forms and they resamble really Hung Gar but Lao Kims style seems a little more far off .. hey Im loving ur channel some real nice clips !!!
is this related to kwan yin kung fu / kung fu san soo/ chinese name tsoi li ho fut ?hung

Looks like he learned that from LaO Kim,is this possible? ILao Kim taught a hung gar style here which resembles a lot to CLF..
