It appears despite the new theory of brain plasticity, that neural cells can reorganize and new ones can grow; if memory is damaged via brain legions etc it cannot be replaced. i.e. functional processes can be restored by not emotional.
The brain and the mind are both objects of consciousness. A neuron and a
thought are both different perceptions of an entity that could be called mind-matter.
The fact that there is always a brain anytime there is a mind does not mean that
the brain "generates or produces" the mind. The mind and the brain are different
perceptions of the brain-mind that is similar to a fireworks explosion where the light does cause the sound but rather both are result of the explosion.
