  • uh-oh

missed a meeting because of listening to you!

  • very sexy...10/10

  • awesome. . .me digs bossa nova. . .very cool

  • I feel I'm being compelled to say you have a beautiful soul

  • very well

  • Pretty song of Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos, and was prettier in her voice.

I want to hear you in this summer, and that all more it goes for the hell....

    It is summer here now.

    Kisses of Brazil

  • The first line on the translation is kind of wrong. Vale there is from the verb "valer", "worth" in english.

The meaning is more like : The blue sky and the shiny sun are worth nothing if you don't come...

  • When are you doing your cd? i will buy it!

  • That single line, translated into English, was priceless.

  • put out a cd and I here by promise you I will be your first buyer! this brightened up my night!

  • i think im in love :-D

  • O Sorry, I forgot to tell you: Great Voice!! one more thing, you´re from Ecuador? hablas español entonces?

    Saludos

  • I like your style, I love the bossa Sounds and it is quite interesting on banjo, I´m also seeking for musicias around the globe to develope a friendly international jammin by sending me some of their material, would you like to join in?

    Cheers

  • I love the jazzy taste you put in these tunes. I have to admit, but this is the third day I come here and watch your videos. And, I'm kind of adicted. I know many people said this already but it's never too much to say, right? Start thinking about an engagement in music!

  • I like it! Roberto Carlos on Banjo! Sounds Very Nice ! Congratulations!

  • That's really nice, I'm gotta peak at you videos more often I think! Keep it up :)

  • Ouch, I stand corrected. Although I still don't know what a "Young Girls of Rochefort" approach is. Bottom line--sing it like you wants. It sounds good no matter what.

  • Thank you! Yes, I was definitely going for the "Young Girls of Rochefort" approach by looking directly into the camera. I am very happy that you think it shows defiance too!

  • Great sound. Don't look directly at the camera so much. A 3/4 view is sultry.

  • i LIKE THE SUBTITLES. i HAVE A NASTY HABIT OF LISTENING TO FOREIGN THINGS/WATCHING MOVIES i CAN'T UNDERSTAND, THEY HELP ALOT.

  • i ALSO LIKE THE CAPSLOCK, APPARENTLY.

  • You are a gifted musician with a unique sound. You have a beautiful, expressive voice, and a unique style on the tenor banjo (most people don't finger pick the tenor--it sounds great!)Thanks for teaching us about the beautiful music of Brazil. You should be performing nationally and recording!!

  • Ysabellabrave need's a banjo player

  • Once again, great work Mecedezz.

  • Interesting song, sounded excellent. The melody does sound kind of 1950's-ish somehow-- can't determine how exactly, but I like it.

Longing and heartache stand out as themes in more of your songs lately, which is fitting since you've stirred exactly such emotions within your lovingly obsessed legions of YouTube fans. Given such an imposingly large field of suitors, you should star in a bachelorette reality show, VH1 style.

    FLAV-A'-FLAAAAAAVE!

  • hahhaha...your portuguese is so cute

  • Is it my imagination, or does the melody of the title line sound kinda like the title line of Patsy Cline's I Fall To Pieces?

  • hmmmm?!

  • My cheeks are Red. I must fan them with microfiche.

  • The intended target is a lucky bastard, whomever it is. Better appreciate it, too!

Stealing the vibrato shake at the end is just the first installment of getting back at me for stealing all the rubato songs, I'm figuring....

  • Another exellent music video by mercedezzz, thanks for the translation makes it all the more enjoyable.Don't forget to let us all know when you are doing a gig in the U.K

  • Wonderful! I like your style!

    Peo

  • the best part about your videos is that your not trying to play the bango, your not trying to sing....your simply performing and your completely into each song you play! Thanks for introducing me to a genre I've never paid any attention to!!

  • :/ i meant, banjo of course. got a little excited there

  • I feel your pain! I hope it works out for you.

  • You're just absolutely wonderful!

  • love when you dance

  • I like that you call it dancing.

I really hope that we'll be able to meet someday in person!

  • we will in a cold winter....and everything else can go to hell

  • Nice one mercedezzz

  • I love this song! It s totaly rock and roll, but your brazilian stile over it was great too!

    rsrsrsrsrs

As we say in portuguese: show!

    :o)

  • Way cool.

  • great song, and sweet flag-holding squirrel

  • Translation of the lyrics is a good idea! Another great song thank you!!

  • An eyebrow rises... a man falls. A story as old as time.

  • Mercedez's eyebrows have killed me one thousand times.

  • hahaha engracadinha

  • exelente pronuncia, Mercedezzz 10 pra voce.

  • Nice performance...you are a crack!

  • Always enjoy your work, seeing you play/sing all these lovely Brazilian ditties are makin' me consider trying to learn all those songs on the ole gee-tar. :p Absolutely tops! Fica legal, voce.

  • nice. i want everything to go to hell too lol.

  • :) fantastic! im not sure if you play gigs or not, but if you happen to drop by the bay area, let me know! haha ty for uploading

  • I Think this time is not enough. Try again. You are amazing.

  • nice it has a kind of tango rhythm!

  • Tell us if you ever come to Oregon to perform!

  • I really like the subtle humor

  • dopeness.

  • Me quiero casar...

  • I liked this one a lot, your face was great. I especially like the banjo shake at the end, done like a true rockstar.

  • Yes, that look while shaking the banjo is so cool! I love that humor...

  • actually "De que vale o céu azul e o sol sempre a brilhar" means "what worth for me have the blue sky and the sun always to shine"

  • I knew it had to be something else! Thanks!

  • Cool Beans!

  • I like roberto carlos music, interesting versión.

  • dang! why can't there be more women in the world like you mercedezzz... I'm sure I will find my banjo playing princess someday :) your super duper!

  • why you put this on "pets & animals" category? maybe because of the little beaver holding the Ecuador flag?

  • My heart even beats faster when I see there's a new mercedezzz video.

  • Not that I have a crush on you or anything, I just like the music.

ps: ok, I do a little bit...

  • Very Smooooth! I like it! -Dennis

  • i didn't know roberto carlos was Brazilian. great as always mercedez. inspiring really. keep it up.

    right up.

  • hahaha sensacional...very funny

  • Hi Mercedes,

This is great, Roberto Carlos, probably the 1st. Brazilian rock'n'roller. The song you are playing was one of his early #1 song. This song was played more than all bossanova songs together. He was the king, like Elves was. Thanks for chosing that one.

  • Pretty cool! :)
