Cryengine 3 is pure crap. Because of the required console-compatibility, they had to get around with the ultra-low VRAM of both Consoles. (256 mb) This results in poor draw-distance, low-res textures etc. etc.. Sure, they did a good job on faking everything, so it "looks awesome" with all the fancy Motion blur, bloom, lensflares and so on, but in the end, Cryengine 2 is simply far better

Crysis 2 is terrible on the PC and even worse on the console for which it was specifically designed for. With a lack of sufficient patching, less processing power, overpriced DLC, and fewer weapons, Crysis 2 faceplants into the ground that we call FAIL, hard.

@HaloModder555 Actually Crysis 2 was amazing to me. I really dont care much about graphics i just dont want it to look like an arcade game from like 1987. It almost eliminates camping and your probably just saying its terrible because either your bad at it or just hate that there`s less guns. Killzone didnt have that many guns either and i also loved that. Crysis 2 doesnt have overpowered guns like Black Ops or even MW2. Cod is a fail to me

@xXBlaziinSiCKXx No gaming console is adequate for my gaming purposes. I have a custom built crossfire rig and an i7 processor, and yet nothing fully utilizes it. Cryengine 2 is far superior to cryengine 3 because it is capable of much better draw distances and environmental interaction (if you fire a rocket at the most distant palm tree in crysis, it will be cut down. If you can see it, you can interact with it) In crysis 2 there almost no environmental interaction.

It makes me laugh to see the amassed comments of console owners about the incredible graphics and realism. Whereas that was what we had back in 2007 when Crysis 1 came out... and consoles would never listen and just blindly stick to halo or COD4.

I know the red ring issue with the xbox is due to their terrible internal cooling and airflow, I reckon this game will rape the xbox resulting in more red rings in the future... So in a good way they can see first hand what we loved 3 years ago.

Meaning untill the next gen consoles come out pcs will always be ahead ;). But at the same time i think its incredible how they have built an engine that looks awesome for once on consoles iswell. @xamanto probably won't happen again. it was a mistake on their part to launch such a hardware demanding game. cripped the sales for both the game and the engine (can you name one game besides crytek's own using cryengine2 off the top of your head?)
