To say Banksy isn't an artist due to some idiots who scribble their names or their gang names on walls is to say Picasso or Monet aren't artists due to other people scribbling uns or penises on paper. Banky's art is more explicit and therfore speaks to more people. I can see more meaning and get more emotion in this (which was based of one of his real pictures BTW) than I would say the mona lisa (not to discredit that fantastic work or Davinci)

All I'm doing is responding to the absurd presumption that provocation=art. I wish that people could just be honest with things like this. This video is not artistic its political. The meaning is political and just because you use an artistic medium to express something political, doesn't make it art, or at least any worthwhile form of it.

It would have none because its a shallow expression of artistic truth. Why would I care about what a little vandalising nuisance like Bansky has to say?
