@jcturf311 Maybe if they were chrome plated in the first place. The bolt carriers that people think are chrome plated is really just plain steel carrier that has been polished. Carrier finishes are either black phosphate, or polished.
i did go out and get another mag and had the same issue. i ended up using my welder to ad som material to the lip of the mag where it laches in at the mag release the slop is pretty much gone now on both mags and it will rack the first round from the mag. one mag needs a bit more work but i have a feeling every mag i buy is going to need the extra material there.
@jacobcharlesm It's hard to diagonse without seeing the rifle. It's a process of elimination at this point you know that it's not a mag issue. At the range or other safe places and with the cover off click in a loaded mag and ease the bolt back and slowly ease the bolt into battery and watch whats happening.
ok so i have a wasr10 singlwe stack and it runs realy smooth i have done a lot of polishing and it pretty slick but i can seam to get it to strip the first round out of the mag. i can drop one down the hole and run a full mag through without a hitch!! how do i get it to strip that fist round when i rack it the first time ??
@jacobcharlesm Start with a safe place with your rifle pointed in a safe direction. Remove the top cover to expose the inner workings now carefully insert a loaded mag and pull the bolt all the way to the rear and then slowly move the bolt into battery and look at what's happening. I may be as simple as a bad mag.
