  • they make it like an American!! needs more Red beam paste!!!! its Japanese not Korean, Dumb ass!! learn your Asian Cultures!!!!

  • @Takiko1782 You sir, are royal dumb ass. This is originally a Japanese dish called Taiyaki but Korean adopted it and they named it bungeoppang.

Please learn your history why Korean got loads of similar dishes like Japanese

  • @xxHartBrokenxx i dont get what 'they' you mentioned. Instand noodles are prefered her too, and i know the first instand noodle was made by nissan, right? I ate a lot in germany :-) since both are close countries some korean food like kimchi kalbi bulgogi and myeounglanjut(i dont know japanese name but when i was kn japan i saw this in a japan ) Also japan ramen and udon is enjoyed in korea

  • Wow.a war fight but also japan adapted many korean traditional foods in early 20century in even its korean they call it japanese name for it.

I mean also donkasu-seriously this is european fork cutlet! How are you going to explain that? xD

Martina didnt say this food was orignated in korea but why some japanese make a fuss? Think what japan did before saying dirty words in youtube.GEEZ

  • @THECAT8th indeed, they originate from japan but were brought to the korean kitchen.. Look at ramyon (ramen) and they even have mochi(sweet rice cake which I forgot the korean name of xD)

  • nice

  • this is called taiyaki, my friend.

  • Gosh I wish people could be a bit respectful and say that it's originally made from Japan...I mean some of you guys (specifically one person) don't have to go to the extent and say F*** Koreans or whatever..jeez..

  • Japanease people should study the history before talking. Brainless. Im sure they dont even know how many kingdoms they had before.

  • i have not seen it......in manhattan

  • This is what i learned from some of my friends of why Taiyaki looked like a fish, they said that on one of the ports people were going in and out of the port so much people needed a way to find food, so a baker of some sort saw that he can sell this type of food fast, now the story is that the Baker use to be a fisherman but he gave it up because he had a family and he couldnt take the seas, so he made taiyaki look like a fish to tell the wisdom of what he knew, also he was hard to find.........

  • i wanna go to japan and china cuz the food on the anime show the food look so good

  • how much are they? XD

  • taiyaki is jap~ :D

this one is messier then the ones i've seen but it still looks good ><

  • who cares with what food is stolen or copy from another country, as long as the culture is alive pass it on to the next generation and spread the culture. ( ^ _ ^ )

  • Im Korean and never get mad about u guys copying because i know our culture is very similar to japanese but i can't be calm when u guys trying to destore the history and try to steal our island dockdo

  • @cjswnsdl korean culture seems to similar to japanese because of japans ruling.originally korea had been under chinese civilization.

  • Ok,Korea,

Japanese have never got mad at u all who always copy and degrade it from the culture of ours,

so do not get mad and claim ever

when we once copied something worse from ur culture, right?

we've been hurt by ur stealing.

Anime, foods, electric skills and the history... its so bad.

stop the hate and don't try to destroy Japan,Korea.

  • well japan took over korea for quite some time and thats y we adapted ur culture even after you left korea i mean my grandfather was forced to learn japanese with japanese culture all around him

  • -__-;;

idiots, stop arguing over what its called, and where it came from. All countries give and take other countries things. The only reason why people call Korean "copiers" is because Japan makes a huge deal out of it. You don't see Italians freaking out over the pizza they sell here in America. Jesus people, its just food. One day your going to starve to death because you keep arguing over where it came from instead of eating the god damn thing. Lol.

  • @Santokiii America is multicultural... So it does not matter!

  • where is this i really want a tiyaki but i live in manhatten and i havent seen it and u said its not in manthatten, whare is this plz tell me!!!!?!?ty

  • you can get them at the japanese grocery store in nj and in flushing at the han ah reum mart.

  • in flushing close to where?plz and thanks u

  • This is 100 percent copy of Japanese food! It's Taiyaki in japanese.

Red bean paste has a long history as a traditional pastry in Japan.

  • yes yes we know it's taiyaki....

(and truthfully korea and japan stole all their shit from china, including red bean. japan's more original cuz they were more isolated)

*sigh* i thought it was Original Korean all this time.....oh well. hey we have boongabang ice cream!

  • Maybe japan brought it to Korea during the colonization there.

  • yesh...unfortunately, that is what the wikipedia article states.... *sigh* and we must all listen to wikipedia!

  • 빵is 짱!

  • u guys are making me drool

  • where is this place? i live in new york too. is this store somewhere in brooklyn?

  • ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

  • Japanaese Copy・・・・・・.

  • is this a korean version of taiyaki?

    looks really similar

  • this is taiyaki(鯛焼き)

  • actually theres a difference in the japanese fish and the korean fish. it's a different kind of fish.

  • this 'fish like pastry' is called taiyaki. It's not Korean its Japanese.

  • they sell it in k-town...

  • I think sweet bean paste makes an excelllent pancake topping too.

  • 우와! 맛있겠다~~ ^^

    i love 뻥어빵

  • This original from Japanese "TAIYAKI" "たい焼き" at 1860.

Fuckin Koreans Immediatly illegal copied TAIYAKI!!!

  • Yeah so what Nips copied Nipples, there!

  • i've bought boongabang in other places in new york, but the ones they make at hanareum tastes the best

  • hahaha i come here all the time to get some good boongabbang. in face, i'm eating one right now lol

  • What form is the chocolate in?

  • It is not chocolate it is red bean paste.

  • It seems delicious

  • is it really h mart?! i never noticed they have it there!!!

  • lol taiyaki is japanese xD not korean

  • Funny I was talking to my sushi joint's chef the other night about taiyaki. It must have come from Japan in the beginning, but it has been so long since that happened (I am twenty three, and my grandfather was eating that when he was young), and bungeoppang (taiyaki's korean rendition) has become something of Korean regional snack on its own right.. not to deny its japanese origin, but no korean would identify it as something exotic, but as his/her neighborhood snack.

  • oh i understand now

  • I think Hamberger in American is, although somewhat far-fetched, an analogy to taiyaki/bungeoppang. Purportedly hamberger originated in Hamburg, Germany, but it has since settled in America as its traditional quisine.. Funny thing is that, while Tai is salt water fish, Bung-Uh is freshwater fish. Somebody should write an paper on this subject.

  • Just to let you know that Taiyaki is actually Japanese, not Korean.

  • Who gives a fuck if it is Japanese or Korean it's friggen food and good. Fricken morons always have to point out the country of origin.

  • I think its because some people are ignorant/arrogant enough to assume that the country of origin is whatever they say it is.

  • I LOVE THAT

  • What does sweet red bean taste like?

I realy want to try it!

  • It's called bungeoppang, and Koreans make it best! Great snack for cold winter days.

  • When I lived in Chuncheon, there was a street vendor around the corner from our hagwon who sold these. My hubby was addicted to them. : )

  • I wanna try those walnut snacks you're describing. The little fishies look great, but I don't like them as much as Chinese red bean treats. I find these fishies a bit too sweet and they have a strong..fermented flavor I guess? I can't put my finger on it, but you should give Chinese red bean treats a shot!

  • Pretty popular in Korea, but unfortunatly it's taiyaki. It's really a Japanese snack.

  • I'm not sure about that. coz we tasted it in Hongkong Osaka and Seoul. but my kits loved Seoul one and they still talking about it.

  • Its probably in the shape of a fish just to a traditional fun looking snacks or sweets. To look more fun...yummy!!!

  • I mean sarang and ohh I know that store its right her in my county and yeah...cool I buyed those too!!!So good its worth fighting for...haha!!!Cool isn't that H mart in Gwinnett County Alanta Georgia?

  • nehh sarab gajeemah!!!

  • pakuri WWWW

  • I really want some now... specially yellow sweet bean ones... YUMMEH! <3

  • yummy!! :D

i like the walnut cakes, too.. have you seen those before?.. they have a sweet bean paste in them & they're shaped like walnuts.

  • That's sounds great, because they're smaller. I felt like a pig after eating two fish!

    Thanks for viewing.
