@RawrNinjaBurgers Actually, the physics engine in Half-Life 2 is really not very good.  It bases it's coding off of actual equations, yes, but games MADE for physics calculated environments, such as Crysis, are more in-depth. The Source engine is really quite old, and they've basically maximized what they can achieve with it. One theory of why Episode 3 is taking so long is that they might be writing an updated engine, one that can better Valve's standing in future games.

@RawrNinjaBurgers It's the same in Episode 2, haha. The Source Engine is the same throughout all the games. Left4Dead 2 is a slightly modded Source engine, but it's beginning to be at it's apex. Though, I WILL admit 100% that the Advisor part was amazing :). Definitely one of my favorite scenes, next to what happened to Eli. I was depressed after what happened to him :(.

@RawrNinjaBurgers They didn't really change the physics run off though. Models and Bloom and texture-specific changes occurred but physics calculations weren't completely fixed. If you start stacking things, it IS easier, but the physics run-off still messes around. It doesn't jump anymore, but it still moves around, trying to figure out what its doing. But maybe it's just me that it happens to. It's kinda funny, many new-gen games don't really use AA, but Source uses it liberally.
