  • Does anyone remember that movie about a parrot just like this one? I think it might be called pauly.

  • Love when he turns his head super fast at the start of the clip :D

  • my bird toby is going nuts over this video whatever paulie is saying my bird like lol

  • Sounds like the bird is saying, "Cricket". I was in Hawaii and had one of these birds named, of course, Cricket. I had to leave her at a pet store due to being stationed back on the mainland. Just wondering if that is where you got her from.

  • Lovely! Very cute bird!

  • I'm sorry but is this normal for this species of bird to barely make any noise like this? Amazing parrot but i cant believe how quiet it is :/ And when it does make noise its not even loud or annoying!

  • @Depro900 Most Senegals are very low key. I was actually thinking that Paulie here was pretty hyper.

  • When they put their wings down it can also mean that they wanna show affection ;)

  • good

  • Crickets?

  • how cute!

  • lol. Sounds like he's saying, "fat cats."

  • lol

  • Flying helps a parrot to gain more confidence. My CAG is not wing clipped. I don't see my CAG crash into anything. It is more fun to see a flying bird than a handicapped bird.

  • I was wondering does youe senegal have a problem with its water dish, Mine will constently tip his over and it makes a mess.

  • only that he likes a large one to bathe in.parrots will find anything to ammuse themselfs with if they are not stimulated enough or it litterally could be that he enjoys making a mess mine makes more mess in one day than a african grey i know in a week and a macaw i know as well could be frustration over somethig too

  • your bird is desperate to fly why dont you let her wings grow in i have a non clipped sennie and its amazing to watch him fly.did you know a bird who flys for two minutes a day uses more energy than a bird who is clipped all day?it is sooo much better for them to be able to fly it may also help his nervousness

  • It's not anyways safw for a bird to fly in a house,They could get frightened, fly, and crash into somthing,or get stuck,or get out of the house. It's much safer to have a bird cliped. They can have lots of fun walking around as well!

  • they can still fly, i work at a pet shop and we 'fly' all our parrots daily. Even though their wings are clipped if you toss them up a little but then cup their underbelly they will flap and move forward, you just need to keep them up a little bit. they love it, though it is a trick learning how to get them going.

  • @NekoFoxLvr

Bird clipping is torture and unhealthy for a bird. It is essential for a bird's health that it can fly, otherwise it's immune system is in danger to weaken and cause problems. If people can not offer a safe place for a bird they simply shouldn't keep one.

  • I do both. Every now and then I let the wings grow. the clip them If I want to take my bird outside or something. It's just a difference of opinion.

  • i had an exact duplicate of him... he was a senagal called paulie an when i went on holiday me cuson was lookin after him and he just dropped dead an when he took him to vets, they sed he had newmonia :( i loved him so much... so for me birthday me mum n dad got me an afrcan grey (called georgie)... he's amazin but i would of preferd to have paulie aswell... i think i no why he got newmonia... his cage was kept near the window. georgia (african grey) is now by the radiator... R.I.P Paulie. (w/b)

  • Mine would never be mean to any one. it have taken years of reinforcement. She knows I'm the boss, and she's the bird. However it's a tough thing to do. You love them, but they can't be mean. You just have to be sure to always immediately react to any negative behavior. Once they have been told no, you need to drop it.(Because they wont remember/connect what they are being disciplined for) Never let a bird be higher up than you, or they think they are the leader of the pack.

  • That wing spread out behaviour tells me it either wants to fly somewhere or it's very nervous about something.

  • She's always nervous whenever she's away from her cage.

  • Thats odd, my senegal is the same way...he's very tense away from the cage.

  • @evilgibson it means its happy smart one

  • hi i have a senegal parrot i got him of a lady who no longer wanted him and i was just wondering if this is normal or not, he drinks about a cup full of water a day and when he has a wee it squirts like a hosepipe and the cage is a right mess all the time. i have had him about three mounth now and he has bean like this since the day i brouhgt him home. i have 2 other parrots of diffran't breads and they do notting like this. thanks

  • I'm not sure, doesn't seem normal because Paulie is a girl. She doesn't drink alot of water either. You should bring him to a vet and make sure he's ok.

  • okay thank you

  • @dogboowrig

Do you still have that parrot with you? It may be diabetic if it drinks too much.

  • @dogboowrig

It sounds like diabetis or any kind of kidney problem. Is that parrot still alive? It needs medical treatment.

  • ver cute! is she saying hi kids?

  • She's very random so I'm not sure.

  • I have one too, his name is Scotty

  • Cool :)

  • i have a senegal. his name is kez. he can be mean or nice, its like he has a split personality

  • sounds exactly like my bird. she can be very nice one minute, a little bitch the next.

  • He says 'hatchie'?

  • Paulie is really random, so I can't really tell XD

  • paulie is 6. It is still possible, I just got a new parrot and it's starting to talk more.

  • Paulie is really cute. Her actions are so amusing. How old is paulie now? My uncle recently juz adopted a 2year old senegal, is it still possible for him to be trained to talk?

  • aw thats soo cute :) at 3:24 does she/he like crap? lol

  • yeah lol

  • aww i had one but it died =/

  • aw... :(

  • i just got a senegal 2 day its so cute, but it has a broke leg or summin its mam gave it :(

  • this senegal is most probably a male, based on his big head

  • Adorable Senegal.

One can tell she/he gets a lot of TLC from you.

  • What a great sennie! Enjoyed the video.

  • Cute parrot, he's probablly a male

  • I talked to her every day and took care of her. :)

  • wow how did u teach it to talk. i have a senegal but i thinks she/he is shy.

  • Cool, Paulie is cute.

  • She's like, 6 years old. Paulie is pretty crazy, she tries to run to you when you're not even close.

  • cool video, what age did paulie start talking?

I have a 6 month old sennie named Kayto owned for 1 week so far needs lots of TLC.

  • We're not sure if Paulie is a she or he, she was too young. :p
