  • How many who posted comments are actually African? I mean born in Africa or at the very least your parents are from Africa?

  • essa musica é linda

  • fuck arab euro

  • Its amazing how similar all indigineous cultures are from africa to asia to the americas. sad that some of these are demonized more than others.

  • As an EDO person, I am very proud to be a part of this rich culture.

  • Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty, unclean spirits be silent in JESUS name, I see your heart is full of hate and uncleaness, accept Jesus and have peace and love. You are prayed for.

  • @1904ceinwen I don't know why some people still want to leave in darkness.

  • we don't need fucking jewish beliefs. What is wrong with the worship of our ancestors? I wish my Jamaican neighbour would encourage this. Our culture is not even known amongst ourselves. FUCK OFF WITH THE HYPOCRITICAL "GOD" IBA OLOKUN!!!!!!, iba from Jamaica, brothers and sisters. Our Nubian ancestors ruled this planet. We will take it over again. They our beliefs "black" magick and black means evil, their fucking bible call us Hamities or people of Ham, and that we are cursed lol

  • @lordifrit69 Hey what has Jewish beliefs gone to do with this video?

  • @AM310965 lol wow this felt like a year ago lol I think i was talking to that 1904ceinwen person

  • I am so proud and happy that there are people in the Motherland who still practice the African Traditional Beliefs. May God continue to bless you all! God bless you johnosu for this!

  • Of coarse we do because are all created by one God who knows about suffering and walks with us in suffering. The hope we have as Christians is God will one day remove all suffering. Peace to you.

  • Your right a white man can do nothing for you spiritually, that’s why Jesus said to us all "you can do nothing without me " . True spirituality begins when we are born again of God's Spirit, that’s why I left the spirits to follow Jesus. One day God will make all culture perfect and stop all wars globally, locally and tribally.

  • @1904ceinwen u are the worst kind of traitor, if u are of the same black descent as we are. Go suck off ur jesus rotting cock. fuck ur allah fuck ur god. Only the gods of my Yoruba ancestry are real to me.

  • I pity my little kids i come long way to raise kids here. crying is not the best let's pray for God to let Queen of England return our Vooodooo sculpture back to home land or else they will never find peace.

  • But today will accept their innocent children apology. There a hug cause on their head by great bini warrior he said Ebo -no - oye.. you will never find peace sucider is your last option, mental and confusion depression in their your family. my white woman has to do olokun before she have peace or war in the house like fire upon her head.. Bros no sleep.

  • Hey my people. let's forget the pass. We being rub of our own history and ways of life. Bni great mysterious warrior can't believe what the alcoholic white family did to make a living, we thought they were real pirate they turn out be rubbers steal our men and women even little kids cage them like slaves.

  • The truth is that christians have killed more people in the name of God that any other religion on earth, Then they call African religions evil. That is hipocrysy to the max. The answer for our people is in our past, in our culture.

  • ignorance is a bad thing

  • It looks like they one of the Mermaid Spirits running through (correct me if im wrong please) thanks :)

  • I love this video. I am not ASHAMED to say it. I am PROUD of it. I am PROUD that this sacred practice was preserved despite all that stood in its way. AFRICA FOR AFRICANS YES!

  • Yes in the past Christianity did make a lot of cultural blunders. Today's mission organizations are a lot more sensitive as many missionary organizations have learnt from past mistakes and seeks to help healthy parts of culture. it was the Christian William Wilberforce who stood up in England's parliament to stop slavery.. How do you know that your voodoo light is really light and not a deceptive light that leads away from the true God? .fear! the Love of God drives out all fear in myheat.

  • We need a leader to introduce a tax for the churches and mosques in the motherland so that with time they wouldn't or can't afford it and that will enable the govt to close down the church or mosque and introduce are traditional beliefs.

  • Jesus is the only way to heaven, Jesus improves culture and removes all fear of voodoo, superstion and evil spirits. It is the ones who humble themselves discover his power and love my friends. Pastor Matt

  • @1904ceinwen everyone is not Christian. I am initiated in the Lucumi Tradition, a diaspora of IFA of Nigeria. Jesus did not IMPROVE the CULTURE of most of the other cultures it has touched. It was often FORCED i.e. Native Americans and Africans brought over in slavery who were practicing Traditional African Spirituality, the foundation of who were are as a people. What it did do is destroy OUR CULTURE. Voodoo means the light of GOD! No fear involved. YOUR fear is in what u do not know.

  • @1904ceinwen tell jesus he can kiss my black ass thanks.

  • @citygirl212 Why are you so mad at Jesus?

  • @1904ceinwen because he gets on my nerves .... and im not going to waste my time on debating why he gets on my nerves .. he just does ..end of story . im very happy for you that he made your life less then a living hell ...but i have never met him so its like talking about a myth that apeard in some ""holy money making best selling book"" the rest is blah !

  • @citygirl212 A christian is not excluded from suffering or difficulties, they know that Jesus walks with them in the struggles of life. I pray Jesus will reveal himself to you at this Christmas time.

  • @1904ceinwen You, a White man, have NO PLACE in a discussion with us about suffering or "difficulties". Be gone.

  • @citygirl212 Why are you so mad at Jesus?

  • @1904ceinwen A white man telling us what "improves cultures"? Your White god is one of war, money, and barbarism/facism. A white man can do NOTHING for us in the way of spirituality (or anything else). You are the babies of this earth. WE, AFRICANS, are the beginning, the elders of this earth, and we are the end. Whites, the babies of this earth cannot tell us, the elders of this earth, what is spirituality.

  • @MeAndHubbyToo Your european ancestors and your bastardized version of Christianity wreaked havoc, chaos, and sorrow on our people and global people everywhere - Africa, Asia, Oceania, India. Your people used their White God to instill docility and pacifism in our people, in an effort to dominate us, exploit us, and strip us of our magnificent wealth. Your opinion of African tradition and spirituality is IRRELEVANT.

  • why are these deities underground and not fully practised in the motherland? R the deities angry that they have been abandoned?

  • @okuomose1 COLONIZATION. Many practice along side the popular religions as they have been colonized and brainwasheinto abandoning their culture and traditional ways. I have met MANY people who "secretly" practice. We no longer can be beaten or killed for our religion but the residual affects of the washing is still playing out. My Baba taught me o be very proud and not to hide what I practice due to others ignorance.

  • We need all the help we can get, if it takes many many Gods to do it, then let's get to it! It all goes to one end....... coexistence!

  • Is OSUN AND OLUKUN BOTH FEMALE DEITIES?

  • @okuomose1 Olokun can be the personification of both male and female....depending on which part of Africa he/she is given reverence.

  • @okuomose1 Olokun can be the personification of both male and female....depending on which part of Africa he/she is given reverence. Oshun is one a female deities.

  • Thank u for the historic post.

  • Thank u for this video. I haven't been there for a long time and still believe that its there to stay.

  • .Afrikans- that took Jesus as their saviour- look for the GODS u have abondaned to pray to the same god that was used to enslaved your minds and ancestors!!

  • In the West we had our Gods too before Christianity took over with sword and fire, forcing people into what they did not call for. Jesus is not to blame, he is an ascended master like Buddha, Muhammed and many others. It is the people, the ones in power and drunk of that power who wanted to enforce their will on inncocent others. It is always and only people who want to suppress others for so many sinister and not sinister reasons.

This piece is beautiful, thank you!

  • We have god before the god of the west and east.. We should reclaim our heritage before it is too late. Wonderful sound, dance and movement. Please more of this.

  • PART (1) Nice voice...scary or not I love my culture n no foreign culture can ever change me from loving my own BINI culture.U need to love n accept ur culture at 1st B4 others will accept u.I am proud of my cult bcos I had d chance to once experience this dance n it unique with what I have seen in Europe N I believe that some of these white people u re comparing wil give their life to be a BINI & have our Culture.

  • PART ( 2)Its unfortunate that some of u have turn back to the real word. N this same people are lost in oversea bcos no 1 accept them as a result of not knowing where they belong.

  • That is the voice of Madam Ehi Idahosa of the the then/now Edo Cultural Group led by Chief Ogbodu and Agbonifo Enaruna.

I love that group,it was the modern pioneer to the contemporary Bini cultural set -up.they open Bini/edo cultural music to the world ,with their tours, acts ,displays.laurels etc etc in the 60s,70s & 80s.

God bless you all for the efforts towards Bini/Edo cultural Hereitage.

    Omo N´Oba Gha To Kpere.

  • those black americans who do embrace this culture cannot understand why we dont. its very simple.. its part and parcel of our cultural makeup you dont think much about what surrounds you and take it for granted.. so that is very true.. when you have a language , cultural traditions and practice you tend not to think twice about not having it..

  • To be honest, christanity and lslam are the main religious practice of west africa today, so you will not get many modern takers of the ifa cult outside where its practiced in yorubaland.. hence the only disciples outside yorubaland will be black americans and brazillians and some white europeans who are very interested in this cultural practice.I would not embrace ifa tradition even though i come from the heart of yoruba culture and my hometown is right at the origin of yoruba tradition..

  • jesus is the problem!!!! AFRICA FOR AFRICANS!!MAFEREFUN GBOGBO ORISHAS O!!

  • Is OSUN AND OLUKUN BOTH FEMALE DEITIES?

  • @okuomose1 olokun can be considered both moale and female

  • @bxlunar how is Jesus the problem? Jesus didn't come to Africa to beg you to believe in Him. salvation is personal, believe in Him or Leave it instead of blaming Him. by the way we Africans still respect our culture

  • @AM310965 first off, jesus didn't come peacefully.nor did allah.they came thru oppression.how could they give you salvation when you already had it???how can you respect your culture by honoring the slavers' deities???

  • A conquered people will love the religion of their conquerer more than the Conquerer himself. Besides traditional religion requires alot of physical and mental work.Christianity does require anything except you add to the offering plate and agree with whatever it is they tell you to believe then you are 'saved' and all is well with the world. Religion is the deification of a culture, its psychology & her traditions Theres no fat, white blue eyed man in a hot suit from Bethelehem see what I mean?

  • Ase!!! How true!!! I meet TOOOO many continental AFRICAN who when I mention traditions get soooo scary or ask how can an "american" like myself know about it & who told me .Just because Im in th US doesnt mean Im not AFRICAN the ancestors know me. it's ashame. I'll appreciate the AFRICAN way if they dont...

    PEACE

    Yaa

  • ASE OOO and we all know that famous saying ' you never miss the water til the well runs dry' But we Africans of the diaspora will gladly partake of the Orisa/Abosum/ and Neterus well and refresh ourselves in their waters as this is our Ancestral right.Much respect

  • are you not describing the american deep south bible belt.?

  • cool, but i am soo curious what is it about christianity that people just gravitate towards it so willingly, not to bash it just curious

  • Because Jesus is the most wonderful teacher that ever walked Gods earth. I have studied the religions of the world and practiced a few in my many years but Jesus is still the most profound man who ever existed. Hands down his words move the heart and soul and have incredible effects against evil. The people who embrace cultural deification like to vilify Christianity thereby showing their own intolerance. Christianity has had many villians in its ranks, so it is understandable.

  • Very good point AmericanDiaz and if Yeshua aka Jesus is the man for you and you are evolving than that is the path you ought to travel. However ALL religions are the deification of their cultural origin. And unfortunately Christianity has evolved into a culturally suppressive institution that condems anyone who doesn't believe its dogma. The ATR community doesn't need to be 'saved' thru dogma Our salvation is inherited.Good luck on your spiritual path.

  • @AmericanDiaz Do you believe in religious tolerance? Leave we AFRICANS that still believe in our own religion alone please.

  • This is beautiful. This is wisdom.

  • You sho is right! You aint gonna see this in Germany cos it ain't Germany's business.Don't forget though you all got Thor and Freida -so stop trippin LOL

  • THIS WAS YOUR ANCESTORS/EGUN BEFORE jesus.RESPECT THE WISDOM!!!!

  • if u rootless, u r as gud as dead.

  • May we find life in Jesus. Amen.

  • Jesus didn't teach intolerence. Pay closer attention to the scriptures.

  • This freakish...Once I saw this, I thought 'owumiri' in Ibo. I was just searching about Edo people and this is the first thing that pops up.

  • dixdix1690 so wat? folks like u are d ones dat bow down to western cultures, im a christian dat doesnt stop me frm appreciating my heritage... ignorance is such a disease

  • china do not give up there culture for the white jesus and no one can mess with them, do not let jesus destroy your culture. it is for weak people with self hatred and poor people with no hope. This is why in india most of the christians are bottom caste people.

  • well said, it`s all the same praising god but in the african way. Black Africans have been brainwashed to hate there own religion. Some day we will wake up and see the truth.

  • what a pity

  • @Pygmonicus "china do not give up there culture for the white jesus"

This is true. I can tell you from first hand experience. (I am part chinese.)

I am happy to see that there are Africans who are not submitting to the religion of the whites. We are strongest with our own beliefs and our own god(s) protecting us. We must not abandon them.

  • @Pygmonicus hey 90% of the population of the church i go to are Chinese ok. because we belive in Jesus doesn't mean we don't respect our culture and traditions.

  • Jesus is the way,and that is the truth but this is also your culture and I will touch my children,to speak Edo and all of this for sure. when I was younger and the dance is going on I am there watching and also because the food smell so good and I had to eat it. I was only 11yrs but I had to choose after my 12th birthday so I choose Jesus, but I can never forgot my cultrue and background. It is with me forever.

  • this is rubbich.but is your culture what know is god. and may the god i save being whit u.amen

  • what the heck r u talking about? What is your point, thatbaby?

  • awsome i love i`m unbabtised with no relagion

but this is one is just keep the bad out of my life because in this relagion is basicly acting like a bad .... i love it tamas krisztian fodor

  • Jesus is no way at all, that is a total invention by european slave masters. Wake up and know your history. Study ancient Kemet and it will lead you to the truth.

  • what is this. Everyone says it is a dance for Olokun, if it is we Yoruba people also have Olokun, even though he/she is originally an EDo diety. He/she is known as King of the sea.

  • Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life...

  • i agree totally.

  • how i love this one!!!!

  • I love the video just as I love my cultural and spritual identity

  • johnosu, whatever you called and whereever you be in world, I want commend, thank and send you my blessing for being a true African and proud Edo-man for put up for display on world stage in the net a very important part of fast fading cultural heritage, our way of life and spritual identity. I prayed that my Kids would grow up notonly learning our language and culture but also know what it is to pure Edo. thankss for bring yourself.- jaycomet in Germany
