  • Arlen Specter, faux defector, erector of THE Lie. How insane ya Pennslyvania to give him one more try. Back Joe Sestak 4 Senator.

Specter, author of the "Magic Bullet" in the JFK assassination, committed treason as an accessory after the fact in covering up the murderous coup of Nov. 1963. He is undeserving of a single vote.

I may not agree with every vote Sestak has cast, but of the two, he is a veritable Pericles compared to Specter. Vote Sestak for Senator.

  • Im glad Arlen Sphincter is out. Just another grimy scumbag who doesnt care about anything but his power.

  • Well that's one less politically corrupt politician for us.

  • Reuben Noble Lazarus

  • Specter makes the average politician look honest.

  • Fellow Democrats, get a clue! We have a chance to really gut the GOP by stealing their moderate politicians, and you want to throw people like Specter out for the sake of ideological purity? Screw purity, it's OK to bring the moderates along as long as the progressives are calling the shots. We want to have a big tent; the commoners and regular joes on the outside, and the intellectuals on the inside pulling the strings.

  • Specter knew his chances of getting re-elected in Penn. as a Republican were zero.

  • Great chance he will be defeated. The people of Pa are smart and will resent his flip-flop for personal benefit. The people of Pa aren't dumb and won't vote for someone because they changed their name.

  • Didn't PA carry Barry Soetoro? Now that was a name changing candidate.

  • True....sounds just like Obama to me. Barry, Obama, you can see the likeness.

  • As a lifelong Pennsylvanian, I'd beg to differ. It's always a nice thing to say that people are smart, but at least with Pennsylvanians (especially around Philadelphia), it's just not true. I'm a Toomey guy, but Specter will likely win again. And Sestak doesn't have a chance in hell in the primary.

  • It is up to the voters of PA and it will be interesting to see what sort of primary battle the Senator will find himself in next year.

I see him being slammed from the right & the left. I"d be surprised to see Spector in DC, come Jan. 2011.

  • It's time for Spectre to retire anyway, he looks like death

  • Nice.

  • anyone know anything about this sestak guy?

he's an easy guy to like

  • the guy made sense.

  • I'll back the real Democrat over the opportunist every time.

  • Tell me about it! I would have rather had Sestak over Specter too. Such shame!

    Joe Sestak 2012!!!! lol

  • Sestak is back to his old tricka again.

  • Specter seems to have gotten the Obama message, "Be as Republican &/or conservative as you want, but at least be constructive." His fellow Republicans have ignored this, or deemed it advisable for THEIR personal political fortunes to be as obstructive as possible.

Specter's made it clear he'll (continue to) be voting IAW his conscience &/or his constituent's interests... but wearing the Democrat label on his lapel for HIS personal political fortunes.

It's not rocket surgery. It's politics.

  • Seriously dude, Specter needs to realize that he can't just change parties simply to save his own ass. I'm a proud Pennsylvanian and if he doesn't vote like a democrat, than I'll be sure not to vote for him. 'Cause Pennsylvania as a whole are becoming more democratic than independent. He better get his act together or he'll find himself kicked out of the senate.

  • specter is no lieberman...

  • I agree with you. I have respect for Arlen Specter's resistance to some of Bush's policies, and for his vote for the stimulus -- and hell he beat cancer, so more power to the old dude!

But he better vote like a progressive Democrat from here on in -- and that includes card check -- if he wants to run as a Democrat.

  • dude got a smooth voice

  • Oh man! I feel like I really got to know Pennsylvania...

*reflecting on what has been learned*

  • If you know Pennsylvanians, we're really independent...

yeah, that's what every state says. blah blah blah

now these talking heads have specter to masturbate over during their daytime shows... yawn.

  • Yes, just like everyone's child is "special." :-)

  • Spector shoud've choose retirement. This guy is fucking dead weight. He's against the Dawn Johnson nomination, the Emppyee Free Choice Act, and the budget. We could've easily gotten a progressive in that seat. Pat Toomy ain't going to win shit. Now pennsylvanians are stuck choosing between two worthess right-wingers.

    Genius move Reed.

  • love that democrat party, stab you in the back and expect full compliance after ... I feel badly for Sestak

US under bio-chem TERRORIST attack as NWO thugs are cornered

UNITED STATES of America - It can now be reported that the Obama Administration, working directly with their 'handlers', the Bush-Clinton Crime Family Syndicate, and their U.S. corporate fascist media enablers, are about to declare a "PANDEMIC", which will be a precursor to martial law and suspension of the Constitution of the United States.

  • Admiral Sestak for US Senate 2010!

  • I am sad to say I agree with this Repub. Specter is nothing more that Droopy Dog in drag.

  • Sestak is a retired United States Navy vice admiral and currently a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives for Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district (since 2007). He had already announced as a candiate for Spector's seat. He's ticked, that's all. HE wanted to be Senator. He's good, but who is going to turn down Spector as the 60th Dem in the Senate?

  • Oh interesting, this guy is just ticked because he now has to run against Specter in the primary. Specter will be tough to beat, I can see why he's attacking him already.

Personally I would be fine with Specter going away in favor of a real Dem. But he will be hard to defeat.

  • They promised Spector that he didn't have to run in the DEM primary-that they had cleared the way and it's all his. He steps out of bounds & the Dems will throw him back to the wolves. And he will sign onto card check or he'll lose in PA. The unions will clobber him. If his goal was survival, he'll do what he's told-no way will the Repubs take him back.

  • Good point. However I don't see the upside for the Dems in this deal. Spector is an opportunist ( I know, I know all politicians are) and unreliable in that his voting record goes against the Dems as much as it favors them. He has never met a war he didn't vote for or support. I see the potential of the conservative dem voting bloc gaining a member in him. He could become a real thorn in the side of the Dems in fact. I see where he gains but not where the Dems do.

  • One thing's for sure, Specter is walking the tightest tightrope of anyone in Washington to get re-elected!

  • I think that's actually the plan. The Dems were going to run Sestak against Specter. A moot point now, since Specter would have lost the primary to Toomey. So, it would have been Sestak against Toomey.

Specter switched sides to avoid CERTAIN death as a Repub to possible death as a Dem, because there is no guarantee that the Dems will nominate him in 2010. They could still pick Sestak, and I think they want Specter to feel the heat of that. Hence, Sestak's posturing here.

  • Have to agree with you OlivierdeAthos. Your assessment is better than mine-not sour grapes from Sestak, just a HUGE reminder to Specter to get in line.
