  • We like!

  • This is complete BS. I have never been able to figure out why magazines have so many articles on blade drift. I have used many different bandsaws and have owned a couple myself and I have never had a problem with Blade drift if the machine is set up properly. It's not a "peculiar thing".

If your machine is set up right and your blade is drifting, you have one of three issues.

    1. Your blade is dull.

    2. Your tension is too loose.

    3. You are feeding the wood too fast.

    It's really that simple.

  • @frogsoda no its not!

  • @codyjaybditw WOW What a Convincing argument! I guess I will have to forget everything I know. Please, share more of your expertise.

  • @frogsoda ok, it has nothing to do with the blade being dull or the tension of the blade or how fast you feed you material through, I could go get a brand new blade (any size), put that blade at any tension that I want and feed my material though as fast or as slow as I want and Im still going to get blade drift! period.

  • @codyjaybditw Well, Maybe YOU will But I Don't.

  • @codyjaybditw See what I mean.

  • the miter fence doesn't move sideways because there is the thin wood strip that fits into the tables grove. look on the back of his board 1:05

  • You need to finish & show how fence is locked down so it doesn't move sideways.

  • No need for the new table top. Original fences can be adjusted to make up the drift problem.

  • wouldnt the blade drift move the blade to one side or the other when cutting the kerf on the aux. table?

  • is really nice set up but and agree how you stop to move sideways, i do not see the way to set a clamp or something comfortable

  • Nice idea but it doesn't explain how to prevent the mitre fence from moving sideways in the slot.

  • beautifully simple, thanx

  • Another helpful video ...thank you : )
