i currently own a restored version of that rifle down by my uncle it's one of the pre world war two versions it was owned by his wifes dad and is a incredible rifle

Your Savage Model 4C bolt-action rifle is basically a Model 4, since at the time of introduction in 1933 Savage used the "C" to indicate "clip-fed."
