Dr Kaliban takes a bit of a nose dive after this, in fact in a later episode he exhibits classical post traumatic stress disorder when Dai-X attacks Makara's battlecruiser and he has an embarassing panic attack. In fact I think that clip is also on here too, 'The Dai X, I don't like this ,what shall I do now?'... Get squished m8! like the nasty silver man you are!

The thunderbirds puppets were garbage compared to this! This is one the of the best fighting sequences in the series. Loved the Dai X Impulse and the roar of the Dai X is just phenomenal...wish they would make a movie out of it soon! Miss it! Do they have it on DVD?

Excellent! I remember being on tenterhooks watching this mecha-punchup as a kid;But you edited out the bit where Dai-x fires (ineffectual) missiles and tries to wrestle with the death ball! Could you post some complete episodes?

Tricky to do whole episodes - in fact very difficult! At some point I'll look at trying to get the full version up for you, good memory though - this clip probably came from a UK compilation tape, hence the shortened version.
