  • can u make ah video of yhu duen situps with sum dumbell

  • @tpeezyist

Only if you can improve your spelling :-)

  • IT is not essential to do that

  • Good demo, be careful not to go to heavy to fast with these, got minor pain in my back moving from 90 to 100 lbs on this... Move up in weight slowly!

  • hey.... bro.. i ahve 2 questions..

1st this is sit-up it works hip flexors not abs.. as i heard..(this is not crunches)

2nd are decine sit-ups like u did are effective for abs (: huh >?

  • @runescapeclassicable

Anytime you do ab work like sit ups, leg raises, etc. you are going to bring in your hip flexors as secondary muscles and that's fine. It's just the way the body works. Trying to train your abs and not use your hip flexors is like telling someone to bench press and not use their arms LOL

  • I have an awesome way on how to do Decline sit ups that you will LOVE check my channel page!

Keep up the good work Lee

  • always do this, really helped my squat and stability, just a suggestion for anyone who is interested, i found with holdin the weight in front of you it creates great resistance at the bottom of the movement, but as you reach the top and horizontal plane, the weight makes the top last bit of rom easier, and pulls you forward, so a suggestion would be use a weight plate behind your head, which eliminates it totally,or hold the barbell as high and close to your body, to try and elimate it....;)

  • good tutorial

  • What's a good back muscle workout to pair this with in order to avoid straining and such?

  • @alanaelizabeth19

I often do hyper extensions with my abdominal workouts to train the entire core.

  • I wouldnt have considered it but I saw your vids. Tonight I shall execute this!

    Thanks Mr Lee.

  • hi Lee, when i do a normal decline sit ups (without any barbell or weight), is that ok if my back touches the bench pad? or it'd be better not to touch and keep my abs halfway down? thank you

  • @Berrymore84

Not a big deal either way, as long as you feel your abs working hard during the exercise.

  • @leemhayward question is when you feel it in your back, regardless of the abs exercise you do, how do you stop tha back pain, i have tried so hard to get a straight back, but my back starts hurting when i am on lets say repetiotion 10 or 11

  • @Berrymore84

When you train your abs your lower back will come into play as well, agonist and antagonist muscle groups. As your back gets in better shape you'll feel less discomfort. But in the mean time you can try doing multiple sets of lower reps and stretching in between sets. This way you'll get the same training volume with less discomfort.

  • @leemhayward Hey Lee,What do you think about the ab roller the wheel with handles attached to it Just wondering IF It was legit

  • @lordvoldemort578

I like it... The ab wheel is a killer workout that works the upper and lower abs along with your obliques.

  • Lee, it looks like a lot of times you put the bar in front of you rather than keeping it on your chest.. I find it more effective to keep it constantly against your chest even when you reach your peak contraction at the top. I'm not usually a form critic, its just how I usually perform this exercise. I love your videos, very helpful!

  • Lee, are you wearing eyeliner???

  • ya es invento ,ya no tiene otra cosa que inventar diossss que estupido

  • Stop before you touch the bench. And stop before you lean too far forward and take pressure off the abs.

Also Try curl up and uncurl down at a slower tempo than this guy. You will put more consistent tension on your abdominals and more overload = better results.

  • Those do work! I've been doing variations of those for a month now, and beginning to see bigger "bricks". (already have a sixpack, but I want more size). How many sets, and do you do the last set to failure every time?

  • 2:14.. he scares me..

  • I try today but is difficult, but i like that

  • can you do this with dumbells 2?

  • use 1 dumbell and hold it

  • Love this exercise. Have neglected my abs for a while now, but have realised I need more core strength. At the moment I am just doing 3 sets of between 10-15 reps with just the bar. In between each I work on my obliques. Getting stronger with this each week, and will probably add some weights to the bar when I do this again! Cheers Lee, you have improved my workouts a lot!!!

  • This is a great video, but it stops and buffers or ? every few seconds. thanks

  • gonna have a go at this tonight its a coinsidence cos i wus tryna work out better power full shots at abs than chesting 20 plates

  • thanks for this tube

  • gonna try this one next week. Thanks Lee!

  • this shit will have you sore 4 daysss

  • lol

  • @five5kid1 thats a good thing, right?

  • Lee, awesome video and ab exercise bruddah! thanks!

  • great exercise, gonna try this tomorrow.

pause at 2.22, look at the placement of the lever.

  • AWesome Lee im doing this one TONIGHT!! I would have never thought of doing it like this

  • if you hold the barbell behind your head it is harder

  • youll fuck up your back.

  • ...or holding a weight plate behind your head is just as effective

  • Yes, a weight plate is good for adding resistance. But it's hard to have progressive overload with a weight plate. With a barbell you can go up by small 5 pound increments.

  • I love doing these except it puts quite a bit of stress on my lower back. So if you work out your lower back already on a different exercise I dont recommend these cause you can over train your lower back...but this is good for killing two birds with one stone./ Exercising the hip flexors, abs, and lower back.

  • this is great for growth in the MID section

  • I like it !!

  • lee is a great man,,,

  • Man #1..Ew did you see that guys balls?

Man #2..Yeah they where weird lookin....lol

  • I don't really get people who come on here and talk trash. I mean everyone thinks they are an expert. If you have your own way then keep doing it and keep your mouth shut. I do every exercise taht Lee suggests and I have gained strength extremely fast. So if you are a hater then leave, we dont care.

  • Man..Can you believe that these MotherF***kers at you-tube canceled Arnel's account.

  • yeh i know, it sucks

  • well whatever i know more effective exercises so ill do them

  • this is pretty decent, lee has good ideas, however on the ascend if you oress the barbell out in front this also work core, chest,Delt and other upper extremity stabilizers

  • this is stupid you end up doing the situp with your feet i expected more.

  • if you use your feet for this you are CHEATING! you can see lee's feet are not pushing against the foot pad, thats what makes decline situps difficult.

  • your forced to use your feet because your on a decline you use you feet to stop you from sliding down the bench

  • anyway i am very satisfied with your emails that u send to us Mr.Lee... you really hit the main topics bodybuilders should know

  • whoa man youre built!

do you eat sweets andcandies after workout ?

  • personally i wouldn't rest my back on the bench id stay above the bench, because as soon as u rest ur back on the bench your resting your abs, the idea is to keep ur abs engaged the whole time.

  • I second that. I do abs at the end of some of my workouts and use plates on my chest. I keep contracted the whole time and it burns like hell when you really push yourself. Also, try and go slow on the way down, then fast on the way up.

  • yea agreed, thats a far better technique, then lee's, its explosive training, im not a fan of lee's style cos i think hes cheating him self from some serious gains by going to quick, that technique, of explosive quick movement on contraction and slow release, with out disengaging the muscle is the best way to do any body building work out

  • 2 things I would like to say, lee!!! I made something like this, but instead I pushed the weight over my head wile doing the sit up. #2 at one point I was worning out with a 150 LB dunbell with sit ups which is not the big thing

  • sorry i just was hoping for something better

  • Wow, im 17 i fuckin do this with a 50 lb weight plate and the decline is more steep, plus i also move the weight from side to side, and your a pro?

  • yea abs are a strange thing, were some of us are starteing to find that we get better gains on our abs from not going to our max then we do from going to our max,

  • looks kinda like steve-o

  • looks like Steve-o after lifting and using roids for a couple years. haha

  • great tips!

    trying this right away

  • his face at 2:22.

also, i want abs just like him

  • trying this the next time i hit the gym

  • Comment removed

  • whats so funny about 2:22 are you hilucinating things or what? whats in your mind you hobo. throw it i wonna know

  • @Enevitibility good one...

  • @Enevitibility 2:22 ??? i cant understand :(

  • ty !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You really are great man.. I signed up for the free tips email course some time ago and all I can say is that I made the right choice! Keep it up!

  • those tips Lee talk at the end are great !

  • Wow nice tip Lee nice way to work out the midsection thats taking it to a whole another level right there. I been doing decline situps for a while and there to damn easy but this idea should do the trick thanks.

  • all this time doing sit ups you never thought about putting a weight? woow

  • I know right?

  • thanks
