  • It's interesting to hear your different opinions and to compare it to mine. I really had to get the hell out of dodge so I'm ecstatic I did college in south-east VA and I'm planning on moving to California soon after I graduate.

I can see what you mean about the stress thing, it was an interesting experience.

Distance relationships are annoying, it's not that I don't value other people I knew, it's more abut how different I am now to how I once was.

  • "Imagining the future is a kind of nostalgia."

  • Wow I am exactly the same. I really tend to live in the present and I suck at maintaining long-term, long distance friendships. I also have a hard time relating to people who are constantly saying they want to go back to some other place or time. The few times I feel nostalgia it's more related to family members than times or places or things.

  • Your hair looks fantastic. Just Putting that out there.

  • One time I had to drive around the DC beltway and Harrisburg, PA twice in one day. I had to pick up a trailer in Thornburg, VA. I must have gone around Baltimore too. That was a long day. I never liked driving in the east.

  • i have the same problem of being a bad friend! One of my new year resolutions was to call my long distance friends at least once a month. I've already failed for january, but i'll take this as a hint to try harder.

  • Where did you go to university? It must have been far away from your family if they don't know you as an adult :/

  • You don't choose the puff... the puff chooses you

Wear it with pride, except when puff levels are high

  • Those are a lot of chairs in the background!

  • I live in northern Virginia and I can't say I hate it. It's really awesome being so close to D.C.

  • @notmelbourne Does everyone who watches heytheremrjohnson live in northern VA?

  • I can't sympathize with you very much; I'm horrible with nostalgia. Remember that time when I began typing this comment? That time was so much better than this time....

  • i have the same problem when it comes to keeping in touch!

  • I have a problem keeping up with old friends too, those who went to other places for college but we once were really close. I've been trying harder recently but it's so difficult!

  • Northern Virginia for me is an escape. It's a place where I go for a relaxing vacation. Two of my dearest college buddies live there now. I'm single and my love for travel has allowed me to visit them almost every year. It's a place where I can go away and still call home. I've been to DC & northern Virgina so many times, it's a home away from home.
