Toyota is nothing but over rated poorly manufactured rubbish. Yes they're reliable but I've never seen a car with a dashboard made from old plastic milk bottles, steel as thick as tin foil and reversing cameras with the clarity of a 1960's TV - they are almost European SUV prices yet they are equipped with a noisy (they actually sound like rattling bolts in a tin bucket) 4 cylinder engine which has about as much power as a harnessed child.

@jeep4jeep I like your comment. The clip stops where the new Prado's front wheel is still lifting. The rear wheel is not in the hole yet. With the LR and Pajero, the clips were cut one foot further. look at the stone in front of the left front wheel and see the difference in distance. Yes, and look at the line they take with the LR into the corner and the throw it to an angle.

At around 1:50 the rear wheels on the prado have not even gone down the hole hence the front wheel didn't come off the ground!

Show the full clip instead of making a mockery of the toyota, pausing before the rear wheels articulate (hence front wheel lift) make you look stupid.

There's no way you can tell from a trail ride how these vehicles compare to one another. A very slight adjustment in angle can make for a very different look for articulation, body position, etc. Also, every time a vehicle rides the trail, the trail changes. You could run the Prado over the same trail four times and get four different results. What would have been more scientific is to have it on an artificial hard course where the different specs can be measured.

If you have a lot of money and drive mostly in city and sometimes veture to wilderness then LAndcruiser is good choice but if you have less money and need to drive coutryside then other choices better.

20 years experience in buying bulk (100 to 200 ) four wheel drives per year. Toyota landcruiser lasted longest - 9 months - Nissan patrol 7 to 8 months, bottom of the list Land Rover 2 months or less. So you know what we ended up buying most of then. Who cares about about tire pressure. I am talking about driving these into the ground, to the point of running them on rims... Toyota is a tuff machine. I know!

Have a look at the tyres on the Disco and Paj in the last comparison scenes. It looks like Toyota have lowered the tyre pressures on the non Toyota vehicles to make them handle poorly.

I have a Prado (120 series), and love it, but I hate Toyotas bullshit marketing lies.
