I am a very dedicated Democrat, but Ron Paul makes a lot of very good points. There is a very good chance he will get my vote. He is the only Republican candidate that doesn't come off as a complete idiot. All I know for sure is that if Rick Perry is our president, I am gonna GTFO.

Unfortunately, it depends upon the state.. think about it this way, the establishment Republican party, does not want non-members to benefit the way there members do. This is legal, and means basically that if you are not a member of their club (which is how they are handled under free-speech law), they dont want you involved in choosing who represents their club.
So if you are registered Independent, you most likely cannot vote in either party's primary.

@Talodus the issue isn't that there's a lack of evidence that DISPROVES Aus. Ec. The thing is, the burden of proof lies on the person making the claim. It's the responsibility of Austrian Economic school advocates to prove their theories have historical backing, something advocates of more mainstream schools will readily provide.

I don't know much about economic theories. But I do know that the "mainstream economists" were wrong. Ron Paul was the one who predicted the catastrophic economic developments of recent years. He was right, they were wrong.
@MrTotila I can't say I know what every mainstream economist is thinking, but the general opinion I've gathered is that most of them thought that everything Obama did was half-assed: i.e. his and Bush's stimulus were "too little, too late." As for the bailout, there were a lot of things wrong with it that didn't have to do with its ideological basis, like bankers' wives getting unexplained trillions.

I'd say there were a lot of economists both mainstream AND Austrian who disapproved of them. It isn't Austrian economists vs. everyone, there's a lot of disagreement among non-Austrian economists as well. :) )

Today I switched from a Democrat to a Republican, and it took me a total of 5 minutes to fill out a form, print it out, and mail it off. We need to get him to the presidential election first. I propose an "Email Bomb". Let us set a day when all of us email our friends and family with a plea to watch a single Ron Paul video of either a debate or interview. I feel the media has painted him as an extremist wacko for decades now, and we must let people see what he is really about.
In this effort, I would hope that everyone also includes how to register as a Republican and why, along with the Primary election dates for their state.

Unfortunately, it depends upon the state.. think about it this way, the establishment Republican party, does not want non-members to benefit the way there members do. This is legal, and means basically that if you are not a member of their club (which is how they are handled under free-speech law), they dont want you involved in choosing who represents their club.
So if you are registered Independent, you most likely cannot vote in either party's primary.

Again, the question is: why do they hate us? The "terrorists" that Iran is alleged to support are organizations who fight against foreign occupation. Iran does not and never has sponsored terrorist attacks on US soil, even if it has a lot of grievances against the US. If the US stop meddling in their internal affairs and withdraw their troops from the Middle East, there would be no more grievances and no more reason or opportunity for them to commit terrorist acts against the US.

China, Pakistan, India and other countries have the technology and could send "terrorist to the US armed with suitcase nukes". Why don't they do it? Because it is not in their interest. Most states won't allow you to vote for a Republican in the primary election if you are not registered as a Republican. Check your states goverment websites to get a registration form and make sure you register before the deadline.

I'm sad for what our country has done to the middle east, and also shocked and appalled.I apologize on behalf of my country for the innocent children we have killed by our so called "accurate missiles" . If someone was to do that we would cry and arm our nukes and whole army force and strike with vengeance. Our government is just so two faced. I'm sick of the rich getting bailed out, while the poor get their lives torn apart. THANK GOD FOR RON PAUL!!!!!!!And thank you from my whole family.

I'm a Democrat, learned about Austrian Economics. I can't understand why fellow Democrats don't realize that Austrian Economics has superior logic to Keynesian economics. Plus they SAY they're still anti-war, but I don't see them criticizing Obama for adding on to our list of wars we are engaged in.
I don't care if Ron Paul belongs to the Republican Party, Democratic Party,or the Green Eggs and F*cking Ham Party, I want him to be President!

@Talodus It couldn't possibly because most mainstream economists, including several Nobel prize winners, reject Austrian economics, citing its lack of empirically verifiable evidence for any of its claims. No, the reason most liberals don't approve of Austrian economics must be that we haven't heard of it. :)

@EvDeVega Every Democrat I've ever mentioned Austrian economics to has never heard of it. And what empirical evidence disproves Austrian economics? Have you even read a book by either side of this economic debate? I've read both and I can say without a shadow of doubt Austrian economic theory is VASTLY more logical then Keynesian theory. Austrian economists have also won in the Nobel prize. Just because a majority of people believe something doesn't make them right...organized religion anyone?

@Talodus the issue isn't that there's a lack of evidence that DISPROVES Aus. Ec. The thing is, the burden of proof lies on the person making the claim. It's the responsibility of Austrian Economic school advocates to prove their theories have historical backing, something advocates of more mainstream schools will readily provide.

I don't know much about economic theories. But I do know that the "mainstream economists" were wrong. Ron Paul was the one who predicted the catastrophic economic developments of recent years. He was right, they were wrong.

@MrTotila I can't say I know what every mainstream economist is thinking, but the general opinion I've gathered is that most of them thought that everything Obama did was half-assed: i.e. his and Bush's stimulus were "too little, too late." As for the bailout, there were a lot of things wrong with it that didn't have to do with its ideological basis, like bankers' wives getting unexplained trillions.

@MrTotila (Also, Obama and Bush's actions were informed by a very narrow subset of mainstream economic theory. I'd say there were a lot of economists both mainstream AND Austrian who disapproved of them. It isn't Austrian economists vs. everyone, there's a lot of disagreement among non-Austrian economists as well. :) )

Just voting for him in the presidential election won't suffice. He needs to get there first. Today I switched from a Democrat to a Republican, and it took me a total of 5 minutes to fill out a form, print it out, and mail it off. We need to get him to the presidential election first. We need your votes on the GOP election guys. We can make history, fix our country, and then we can finally be proud Americans.

He's been married for over 50 years, delivered 4,000 babies, Duke graduate in medicine, was a flight surgeon in the military, 10 term congressman, he actually speaks about how to solve problems unlike the other nutshells who use nothing but catch phrases, and though he's 75 he's probably in better shape than the other candidates since he runs and rides bikes everyday. lol Fox news interviewed this time because they wanted to make him look bad, well it kinda blew up in their faces.
